MODULAR CONSTRUCTION At Errigal, We work closely with manufacturers across all sectors, testing new technology and equipment to develop solutions to help reach new standards in sustainability, waste reduction as well as cost management. Modular construction, also known as off-site construction or prefabrication, is one of the new and exciting construction methods that allow us to achieve those goals. We are using these construction methods on several projects most notably, Platinum House inMilton Keynes.

The third floor extension to Platinum House is progressing at pace using modular SFS panels. These panels are delivered to site and installed into the correct positions. This is much faster than traditional methods where the base and head tracks must be laid and vertical studs installed at the correct centres. These will then be ready for any site applied internals and cladding systems. This allows for effective time savings across the overall project.

Cormac McCloskey "Modular Construction allows for early collaboration and a lot of sectors are seeing the benefits of this, such as healthcare and education. It is becoming increasingly important to do as much construction off-site, reducing the number of people required on-site to install works"-
