These coins are par ticularly desirable as prizes for Sun day school classes and for young peo ple's groups. Friends of the broad cast are invited to write for theirs. OUR LISTENERS WRITE US • “My days seem to be started just right when I hear your program.” • “It does my heart good to hear those wonderful testimonies by the students and the various discussions.” • “I like your plain words which even the smallest child can under stand.” • “I am eleven . . . when you were discussing the world being created, it helped me with my history, as that is what I was studying.” • “We do so enjoy your broadcasts. My little girls, two and four, sing right along with the chorus.” • “Today is the first time I have ever listened to your program. It is really a task to find good, clean radio pro grams on the radio and I am happy when I can hear one like yours. You can count on our prayers.” • “Your program is my favorite half hour on the radio. It seems that I know you all; you are just a bunch of ‘homey* folk, talking right into my apartment as I get breakfast.” • “ I enjoy and appreciate your pro gram and the splendid work your In stitute is doing far more than I can express. I love it because of its solid, fundamental doctrines, because of your insistence upon a genuine spir itual regeneration, and because of the

STUDENT RADIO STAFF One of the newer departments at the Bible Institute of Los Angeles is the Student Radio Class, consisting of young people who are interested in religious radio as a possible future ministry. These young people are given a part in the programs of the Bible Institute On The Air, and their duties include the reading of letters received from the listeners, oral de- scriptions of the Bible Institute, and the contacting of various speakers for the broadcasts. In the accompanying picture, reading from left to right are shown: Dick Norwood, Alice Goffrier, Arthur Haynes, Barbara Bunn, Robert Smith, and Nancy Woolnough. RADIO OFFERS “THE W IDOW S MITE" Listeners to the radio program this month have been hearing the offer of a replica of the famous "widow’s mite” of the Bible story. The original of this coin was secured in Jerusalem a number of years ago by a friend of the Bible Institute who loaned it to us for the purpose of making re productions. It is a small coin about two-thirds the size of the penny, irregularly shaped, and stamped with the ancient Greek script. It was in common use during the time of our Lord’s life on earth and being the smallest coin known, is generally con ceded by archaeologists to be an actual copy of the coin cast into the treasury by the widow. Along with the coin, a descriptive folder is mailed in which the Bible
