HE Psalms give us a picture of the hearts of men unveiled. Here the souls of men are ex pressed. In these we see human nature at its best and •at its worst. Here are heard the boastings of the wicked,
the cry of the oppressed, the plead ings of the godly, the wailing of the sorrowing, and the joyful exultation of the righteous.
