T HE K I N G ' S B U S I N E S S cially remember that He died that they might live; that it was through His death their sins could be forgiven and they have everlasting life. Lots of peo ple remember that Jesus was a great teacher and a good man, but they for get, that He died on the cross to save people from their sins. Jesus told them as they ate the bread, they were to re member His body which was to be broken in death for them, and as the bread would feed their bodies, He (Jesus) would feed their spiritual bodies which is the part of us that loves and believes Jesus.- Jesus also prayed when He (ook the grape juice, and asked them to remember His blood or life which He freely gave to save them. Now the next words Jesus told His disciples that night, is our memory verse. Listen to the very words of Jesus. “This do, in' remembrance of me.” He asked us to do this to remind us what His death means to us. It is only through the shedding of His blood that we can be saved. What an awful silence there must have been, and then Jesus passed the bread to Judas, and O how sad Jesus felt, and how He looked at Judas with a heart filled with love for him, and yet so sad because Judas would not re pent, and how sad the disciples were be cause one of them would do such a wick ed thing as to betray his Lord. This part of our story is so very sad, but how glad we are that Judas went out after Jesus handed him the bread, and did not stay to the beautiful Memory Sup per, which w© call the Lord’s Supper. At' the first supper they had roasted lamb and bread, but now at this special supper there was only bread and grape juice. As Jesus took the bread in His band He prayed to God, asking His blessing upon it. He then broke the bread in pieces and gave some to each one of the disciples.
