Red-billed Teal Did you know that Red-billed Teals typically feed in pairs or small groups? They feed by dabbling and dipping their heads underwater and upending their bodies into the water to reach deeper food. At this time, you can only see the tail and vent above the surface. They also frequent mudflats and feed in the fields at night.
