• First-Time Participants: receive an electronic certificate and patch. • New Record Holders: athletes setting a new State, Regional, U.S. or World Record receive an electronic certificate and patch. • LION’S DEN: athletes receive an electronic certificate, coin, and patch. The letterman jacket is presented later by a LION representative via a special public presentation at the athletes’ fire department. • House of Grind: athletes receive an electronic certificate and patch. Mailing Awards: if an athlete misses the awards ceremony and does not retrieve their medal before departing it will be at their expense to have any medals, trophies, coins and/or patches mailed to them. Athletes must request these items within 30 days after the conclusion of the event. Replacing Awards & Other Items: If an athlete would like to purchase a current LION’S DEN coin or lettermen jacket, they may do so at the items retail cost + shipping. Medals and lanyards cannot be replaced since the organization does not maintain these custom-made items from season to season.

U.S. National Event Special Awards
• FD Showdown Category : Our top teams in each subcategory will receive one additional gold medal to keep or present to their Fire Department.. • FD Tandem Team Category: Our top team in each subcategory will receive one additional gold medal to keep or present to their Fire Department. • FD Relay Team Category: Our top teams in each subcategory will receive one additional gold medal to keep or present to their Fire Department. • The PJ Bean “Rookie of the Year” Award will be awarded to one male and female rookie athlete selected by staff and course officials. • The Points Champions will receive a special trophy for earning the most points in their division or subcategory. Refer to pages 16-17 for more details. • U.S. Champion Ring: 1st place finishers in all divisions and subcategories will receive a super bowl style championship ring. Each ring is personalized with the athlete’s last name and includes a gem for each subcategory win. NOTE: these are only provided if a sponsor has agreed to pay for them. Otherwise, they will be available for sale at the current metal market price.
