sleeping. They rush over near his mouth and call to the foolish flies inside: “Hey, fellows, come out quick! This crocodile isn’t dead! He’s only asleep. Come on out! Hurry!” But the foolish flies inside the crocodile’s mouth won’t listen. They anwser, “Leave us alone. We’re having a good time. This crocodile is dead. You’re just afraid.” The wise flies keep calling to the foolish flies: “ Please, fellows, come on out! We’ve seen this thing before. You’re going to get caught.” But the foolish flies just keep on eating and having a good time. Suddenly the crocodile wakes up, snaps his mouth shut, and swallows all the foolish flies in one big gulp. The wise flies try to call them, but it is too late. They are gone. The crocodile waddles happily back to the river’s edge and slides into the water. He fooled the flies again. Many people are just as foolish as the foolish flies. They think they’re having a good time when they do the things the Bible tells them not to do. They won’t listen to God’s Word or to God’s people. Then suddenly the day comes when they are caught in Satan’s trap and they can’t set themselves free. Sometimes Satan tries to trap boys and girls, too. He tells them, “Wait until you are old, then you can ask Jesus to come into your heart. You don’t have to do it now.” Just like the crafty old croco dile, Satan gets these boys and girls to wait . . . and wait . . . and wait. Just like the foolish flies, they will not listen when others tell them that God loves them and wants them to be His children. Don’t let Satan fool you, boys and girls. I f you have never asked Jesus to come into your heart, to day is the best time to do it. Reprinted from “ The Baboon Chase ” by Don W. Hillis. Used by permission of Baker Book House, Grand Rapids.

KB “ DESSERT” I look forward to the Question Box each time I receive my magazine. I oftentimes save it to the last like a good dessert. Mr. Violet L. Griffith, Seattle, Wash. My husband and I wish to express our deep appreciation for the excellent edi torials by Dr. Sutherland which appear monthly in THE KING’S BUSINESS. “ A Nation’s Shame” (October) is the best editorial we have read in any Christian magazine dealing with the state of our nation. Indeed, God may be giving this nation a “last chance” to right-about-face and stand once again for the principles upon which this na tion was founded “under God.” M. L. L., New Jersey I have been a subscriber to THE KING’S BUSINESS for many years. I enjoy particularly Dr. Sutherland’^ editorials, Dr. Talbol’s Question Box and Dr. Vance Havner’s messages. I admire Dr. Sutherland’s noble stand against modernism and all the false religions. When I was a boy, I attended the church here which was Dr. Talbot’s first pastorate. He was very young but even then was one of the world’s greatest Bible teachers. I have several of his books which have helped me in my work preaching in a non-denominational mis sion. Please pray for me. James R. Sims, Paris, Texas COFFEE CUP I want to write and tell you that the column, “ Over a Cup of Coffee,” is the main reason I renewed my subscrip tion. You write so down to earth. I especially like your honesty about your feelings at the banquet in the Septem ber issue. Mrs. R. L., Kansas City, Missouri COMING NEXT MONTH . . . The March edition of THE KING’S BUSINESS will have emphasis on “ Facing the Problems of This Day.” Articles will deal with certain contem porary problems facing Christians, and offer help and direction in meeting these issues. Vacation Bible School material re views are tentatively scheduled for the March issue. Insufficient material was available to meet deadlines for the February issue.
