As heat rises, the FireplaceAdjustableHooddirects theheated air downward away from combustible surfaces and out into the room. The adjustable style fitsmost fireplace openings (from 28-1/2” to 48”) and the durable black powder coat finish decreases scratches and withstands high heat temperatures. All masonry and non-masonry installation hardware is included. Made in the USA. HY-C’s Creosote Control Firebrick reduces the risk of chimney fires by helping to prevent creosote build-up. Each tightly compressed firebrick contains special chemicals that slow creosote buildup, helping to prevent chimney fires and extending the time interval between cleanings. Our Creosote Control Firebrick contains no waxes or oils and is safe for use in all wood burning appliances. Made from Douglas Fir and Western Red Cedar, it burns like cordwood.
