STUDENT COMMUNITY SEMESTER 2
We’re at the end of the academic year, and what a semester it’s been! Here’s your roundup of all the wonderful things that have been happening in your School and Faculty community this term.
School Community We had some great events in the School giving staff and students the opportunity to come together. We have enjoyed a ‘Soup and a Roll’ social, an afternoon of Welsh Culture, games, and craft afternoons. Our Marketing team arranged a trip to Penderyn. Your student societies have organised Alumni, guest speakers' events, trips to the coast and bowling, all have been enjoyed by many. Our new Circular Economy society was launched alongside our Under the Skin event, attracting lots of new members.

Student Voice
A big thank you to all of our Student Reps who have worked hard all year to share your feedback at Programme, School and University levels. Based on student feedback this term;
we’ve been working to streamline communications and improve the use of Instagram to share important messages Georgina and Anabel have been working with the Reps as part of their SPIN placement, to gather your thoughts on engagement assessment and feedback. Their report will help us to put some positive changes into place in the next academic year. Your Subject Reps have listened to you and helped create positive changes, including getting water fountains reinstated in the School. Your School Reps have hosted regular drop-in sessions which has enabled you to connect with them and had your voice heard .

“I’ve never seen students so enchanted! The adorable meerkats are my firm favourite, but it’s also great to see people face their fears and hold a tarantula for the first time” -- Naomi Animal Encounters
