Uteco Opens Representative Office For Asia Pacific Uteco Group has opened a representative office in Singapore to better support the customers in the growing packaging market of Asia Pacific. Jörg E. Kullwitz has been appointed as Chief Repre- sentative Asia Pacific to support existing and potential customers as well as the Uteco sales team out of Sin- gapore. Kullwitz has extensive experience in packag- ing printing and converting worldwide. He started his packaging career in 1996 in Latin America and has been based in Asia since 2003. Flint To Host Web Center Grand Opening Flint Group Narrow Web will host a Grand Opening Event for its Center For Technical Excellence located in Rogers, Minnesota on June 14-16. The Grand Opening Event will feature guest speak- ers from throughout the label industry, press and plate equipment demonstrations, and networking op- portunities. Earlier this year, Flint Group Narrow Web installed a Mark Andy Performance Series P5, 8-color, 10-inch flexographic combination press, equipped with the latest web handling and print technologies, including ProLED curing. The press enables Flint Group Narrow Web to accelerate the speed of prod- uct development and increase product launches be- cause inks developed in the lab can be quickly evaluated on press. Resource Label Acquires Cellotape, Landmark Label Resource Label Group, LLC, expanded its portfolio with the recent acquisition of California-based Cel- lotape, Inc. and its sister company Landmark Label. Cellotape provides packaging solutions to the Elec- tronics and Medical Device industries. Cellotape of- fers custom flexo and digital printed labels, overlay panels, nameplates, NFC and RFID enabled smart la- beling (through its Smart Products group), large for- mat printing, diecut components and screen printing among its many capabilities.
