Dewsbury & District Federation flew their final race of the 2023 season on Saturday out of the Littlehampton race point, this was their Championship young bird race with 43 Federation members sending 462 birds with all members flying over 200 miles. This race shows just how the wind can dominate a race, usually with a west wind the lofts over in the east take the lion’s share of the top positions but with the wind being north east six of the top ten positions was won over in the west side of the Federation in the Bradford area.
