Willy Jacobs : The head wind specialists. They just love to fly with the wind in their faces. I brought the Van Den Bulck’s from Kris Van Massenhoven in 2013, 2014, 2015 crossed them with the Willy Jacobs mainly from the Ace of Diamonds 1st Ace pigeon Noyon 2010, 1st Ace pigeon Orleans 2011, Sire of at least 4x1st Open Winners . His brother The King of Diamonds , he is sire of at least 6x1st Open Winners, he is sire of Willy’s Pride . When mated to Champion 399 full sister to The Vettel 1st National Ace pigeon bred by Willy Van Herck. Willy’s Pride is the sire of my 1st National Winner Skibbereen INFC all N. Ireland 2023. This year in the three YB Nationals I bred both parents of the 1st Open Nat Winner for R Calvin & Daughter. Two weeks later my son Steven won 1st Open YB National NIPA from Skibbereen vel 1064, I was 2nd Open vel 1063 plus 4th, 20th and 30th Open . In that race only 250 birds were clocked on the day in the NIPA. Pigeons bred by me or from my pigeons won 1st, 2nd, 4th, 8th 10th, 13th, 20th, 30th plus more. I clocked 9 on the day, all Nationals are a 20 bird limit. The next week I won 1st Open INFC all N. Ireland. This hen was 20th Open NIPA National when only 250 were clocked on day. She is a direct daughter of Willy’s Pride . Paired to his half-sister. Willy’s Pride the cock that won the National in 2016 NIPA but had to be disqualified as his Belg ring card had not been stamped. He is also the sire of Rambo. He won 3rd Skibbereen YB National 2017. His dam is Diamond Princess winner of 2x1st Open NIPA from Fermoy 175 miles . Diamond Princess mated to O’Roory Pride winner of 1st Open YB National NIPA 2017 are the grandparents of The Harrier winner of 1st Open YB National NIPA 2023 for my son Steve, her dam is a direct Luc Vervoort. In 2021 I bought 12 YBS direct from Luc Vervoort , he said “They were from his best” so I paired them to the best children of my top pigeons and gave them to my son Steven to race 45 in total. I did not race any YBs in 2022. Steven won every YB race he raced in, in club, winning the Section twice in the Skibbereen YB National NIPA. He also won 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 7th &

10th Open YB National INFC. This year he won every old bird inland race and in the old bird inland National NIPA won 1st Section G & 2nd Section G. These winnings were all with Willy Jacob – Van Den Bulck crossed with direct Luc Vervoorts. In 2022 we bought 30 YBs direct from Philip Baadjou, he lives on the Dutch side of Limburg. These are super-fast middle distance, sometimes he takes the first 10-12 positions from ten or twelve thousand pigeons. I paired these pigeons to children from my best pigeons and right away they started to win. I won 2nd & 30th Open YB National NIPA with two nest mates so off to a good start and in the INFC National I was 5th Open with a Baadjou cross Jacobs . Some of the winnings done this year by other fanciers racing pigeons bred by me or off my pigeons: Stan Boyd Scotland in the YBs won 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th Sectional, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th & 10th Section, 1st, 2nd & 3rd Section and two Section YB Nationals. These were all bred by O’Roory Hill Stud. Keith Kernaghan bought a kit of 12 YBs on 1st May, one hen won the Mid Antrim Combine twice and four more good positions and was Ace YB in the Mid Antrim Combine. He was also 1st Club 2nd Section 13th Open NIPA YB National Skibbereen, 1st Mid Antrim Combine. Chris Leek had a super season in one race he took the first 32 prizes in club. These were mainly Willy Jacobs and Van Den Bulck from O’Roory Hill Stud. Gary Marsden had a fantastic year old and young, he clocked six in the prizes from St Malo NIPA OB National only 41 birds clocked in race time super flying. These were mainly from O’Roory Hill Stud stock. S & P Haughey won 8x1st prizes, he was 4th & 9th Open Skibbereen only 14 birds in race time, all from O’Roory Hill Stud stock. I could go on and on writing about the winning they have done but all being well I will see you at the Doncaster Show. – Gerald Delaney
