INUKA InTouch - SQ2 2020

THANDEKA MATLHATSI NORTH WEST NEW DIAMOND LEADER

How has INUKA changed your life

I joined INUKA in October 2015 and it took me exactly 4 years from joining INUKA to get to my Diamond Leadership status. I was 24 years old and a new mother to a 7month old baby girl. When I joined the INUKA Business, I was doing other part time selling and working at retailers. I couldn’t keep one thing and maintain it. Everything changed for me when my first downline, Julia Matlhatsi (my biological mother), qualified for the FREE Accommodation Challenge on 19 January 2019 and she invited me to share this experience with her. The experience was so overwhelming that I got angry at myself for not achieving it myself. The next INUKA FREE Accommodation Challenge was for the 2019 Gala Event and I made sure that I achieved the Hotel Accommodation. I was not only on stage as an Accommodation Achiever, but also for achieving Sapphire Leadership. I have never missed the Accommodation Challenge since then and I strive to work for all challenges without GIVING UP, until I get it done. My 4-year-old daughter is my motivation and a constant reminder that as she is growing, so my INUKA Business too must keep growing.

INUKA has given me yet another great start to life as I managed to move out under my mother’s wing and started a life for both me and my daughter. I make a living from INUKA Volume Rebates. INUKA has groomed me not only on the business side, but financially and mentally. I am the young responsible mother because of INUKA. For the first time I am an international traveller through the annual INUKA Travel Challenges.

What is your advice to someone starting their INUKA Business

Be brave enough to grab the INUKA opportunity without any doubts. Do the business wholeheartedly and allow yourself to be bold enough to overcome every challenge that comes your way. Accept failure as it will teach you a lesson and will forever be a motivation.

What are you grateful for

Firstly, gratitude to the Almighty God. Without Him this would not be possible. To the INUKA Founder, Alma Gericke, thank you for offering us an amazing opportunity to change our lives and the INUKA Mentors for their support. Thank you to my family for always having faith in me. Thank you to Oratile Thobejane and Kate Sekhu for their guidance leading me in the right direction. To Team Rustenburg, you deserve all the recognition for putting North West on the INUKA map creating a Diamond Team in our region.

What was your biggest challenge to reaching your Diamond Leadership Status

My biggest challenge was being a full-time mom to my daughter and being a young person that had to lead a team of Members being older than me. Teaching and guiding them came to a total turnaround as I had to do things differently than when I’m at home. I first had to learn a lot from them before we could get down to business.

What is your advice to someone who wants to achieve Diamond Leadership Status

Be consistent in your business. Never lose focus. Alone you can go fast, but together we can go far with Teamwork. Build other leaders.
