THE K I NG ' S BUS I NES S

You see, Jesus knows if we are kind to each other, we can not help but show a forgiving spirit. This verse tells us that God has forgiven us for Christ’s sake, and so we should forgive one an other. Just like in our story about the big boy who was cruel and unkind to the little boys, and how the one little boy was willing to forgive the big boy who treated him unkindly, because he said God had forgiven him, and he must do the same. This is a good time to ex plain to the boys and girls how wrong it is to pray the Lord’s prayer unless we forgive everybody who has wronged us in any way, that-is, if the children have been taught the prayer. Closing Prayer.—Dear Lord Jesus, we thank Thee for forgiving us our sins, and help us to always show a forgiving spirit at all times. say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through tne eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom oi God. (26) But Jesus beheld them,' and said unto them, W ith men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible. (29) A n d ' everyone th at hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for My name’s sake., shall receive an hundred fold, and shall inherit everlasting life. (30) But many th at are first shall be last; and the last shall be first. (2) Sent to the Law, vs. 17-20. (3) Searching Test, of Sincerity, vs. 21 , 22 . 1-15; Mk. 10:13-16; Lu. 12:13-21; 16:

is fine. Now, Peter asked Jesus if he should forgive a person as many as seven times. Peter thought th a t was a good many, but listen to the answer Je sus gave. He told Peter he must not only forgive him seven times, but sev enty times seven. Now that is so many times that we can not count it. Jesus was trying to show them that they must forgive as many times as people are sorry and ask us to forgive them. You know, Jesus has forgiven us for so many wrong things we have done against Him, and if we love Jesus, we must be like Him, and that means we must always show a forgiving spirit. Here is what Jesus wants us to be. And be ye kind one to another, tender hearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you. (Leave out last clause for tiny tots, as it is too long for them to remember).
