THE K I N G ’S BUS I NES S final authority in matters of doctrine. Any man who accepts the Bible as final authority will ultimately accept the doc trine that Jesus Christ must return and inaugurate the Millennium or there can can be no Millennium. It is significant th a t no man teaches the bodily return of Jesus Christ to this earth who accepts the modern “scienti fic” viewpoint. No destructive critic or modernist wants Christ to return. It would be exceedingly unpleasant for such a man to be found denying the faith once delivered unto the saints, and even denying the Lord that bought them. I asked the ecclesiastical politi cian if he accepted the doctrine of the yirgin Birth, and he said ; “You cannot examine me on my theological views!” I do not know of a single man who be lieves in the Yirgin Birth of Christ or the historic faith of the believers of Christ who would object to a careful ex amination as to doctrinal soundness! The split in theological -circles which seems right a t hand will be brought about because the self-glorified scholar ship of the denominational, educational, and state institutions have swallowed the atheistic cosmogony, and are trying to cram it down the throats of all the followers of Christ. The^ secretary of the young people’s work of his denomination denounced the Moody Bible Institute, and the Bible Institute of Los Angeles because they graduate young men and women who have not graduated in high schools or colleges. I told him th a t the Bible In stitute of Los Angeles teaches the doc trines of the Bible, and not the scientific or literary branches, and th a t a college or high school course is not needed as the basis of understanding Bible doc trines. If these advocates of modern scholarship could have their say, they would have the passport to heaven written: “Except a man be graduated from a college he cannot enter the king dom of heaven.”

83 I would like for these modern college worshippers to te ll where Peter gradu ated before he preached his mighty Pentecostal sermon. We are lacking in this information concerning John and Matthew and Timothy and Stephen, David, Elijah, Daniel, Isaiah, Jeremiah and many others who are well and favor ably known to the students of Bible themes. In fact, Abraham, who is pre sented in the Bible as the “friend of God,” has not one word about his academic degrees; Job seemed very in different along this line also, and as for Samuel and Nathan, they are hopeless! It is tragic th a t these men should at tempt to write the message of God to lost humanity w ithou t.consulting mod-: ern evolutionists and ecclesiastical petti foggers! So far as the spiritual life is con cerned, being born again is the finality as Jesus Christ set it forth. All spirit ual growth begins after the new birth. This, thank God, runs the gamut of the human family from ignorant and unedu cated to the world’s greatest scholars. God’s message is not education but re generation if we are to reach the home over there! ttk Js? HEAVEN HERE We do not have to wait until after death to enjoy a heavenly experience. An old saint once said: “All the way to heaven is heaven.” It was said of a pious Puritan th a t “heaven was in him before he was in heaven.” A Scotch man being asked if he expected to go to heaven, quaintly replied: “Why, mon, I live there.” There is undoubtedly a heaven of spiritual joy th a t we begin - here. The language of the New Testa ment confirms this happy thought. Our God has “blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.” If the church is not a heaven ly place, this passage is empty. More over, we are “partakers of a heavenly calling,” and have “tasted of the heavenly gift."
