Day 1 Arrival We arrive at our hotel in time for dinner.

Our ‘Hidden Villages Tour’ takes us to some of the most charming locations in Derbyshire, providing a unique look at the Peak District beyond the popular tourist destinations. We discover butter crosses, ancient cottages, churches and streets that have existed since Saxon times. Day 5 Departure After breakfast, we make our way home. Day 2 Salford Quays Cruise & Quarry Bank Mill This morning, we travel to Salford Quays, a hot spot of Manchester and home to the BBC & Granada Studios as well as the Imperial War Museum. It is here we depart on a 60 minute sightseeing river cruise where we also learn about the history of the Manchester Ship Canal. In the afternoon we make our way to Quarry Bank Mill . Founded in 1783, the mill was built to harness the flow of the mighty river to power the mill, but it became home to a whole industry community and is now “one of Britain’s greatest industrial heritage sites”. Day 3 Chester & Lyme Park This morning we have the option of free time at leisure in Chester. In the afternoon we visit Lyme House & Park , the film location for ‘Pemberley’ in the BBC adaption of Pride and Prejudice starring Colin Firth, which has made it one of the most famous country house images in England. On the edge of the Peak District, nestling within sweeping moorland, Lyme Park is a magnificent estate. Day 4 Buxton Crescent Experience & Buxton After breakfast, we travel to the thermal spa town of Buxton, home of Buxton Water and located in the centre of the Peak District.
