Day 1 Arrival We arrive at our hotel in time for dinner. Day 2 Yorkshire Wildlife Park Driver’s Day Off
Day 4 Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway, Fish & Chips & Cleethorpes Today we hop on a historic miniature railway for a 45 minute return journey which travels along part of the picturesque Humberside Coast with the Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway . The trip includes a delicious lunch of fish and chips plus a visit to the smallest pub on the planet, The Signal Box Inn! We also enjoy some time at leisure to relax in the Victorian seaside resort of Cleethorpes. Day 5 Departure After breakfast, we make our way home. Today we make the most of our time with a visit to Yorkshire Wildlife Park . As the UK’s number one walkthrough wildlife experience, we’re in for a ‘roarsome’ day out with around 475 animals to meet! Among the 60 different species, highlights include Project Polar, home to the largest collection of polar bears in England; magnificent African Lions in the seven-acre Lion Country; a family of Californian sea lions in the largest purpose- built habitat of its kind in the world; and the 300-metre raised walkway above Land of the Tigers. Other critters to look out for include rhinos, giraffes, red pandas, leopards, monkeys, lemurs, zebras, and many more! Day 3 Lincoln Cathedral This morning we visit magnificent Lincoln Cathedral . One of Europe’s finest gothic buildings dating back to the 11th century, our visit includes a 1 hour floor tour where an expert guide takes us on a journey revealing hundreds of years of history. We have free time for lunch and time to explore the city at our leisure in the afternoon. Winter Wildlife Warmer This is a cracking winter break combining plenty of time to explore and enjoy the wildlife park along with some of the best of Yorkshire, with the Jorvik Viking Centre in York, as well as free time. PACKAGED ITINERARY Day 1 Arrival We arrive at our hotel in time for dinner. Day 2 Yorkshire Wildlife Park Driver’s Day Off Today we have the whole day at the Yorkshire Wildlife Park. Day 3 York NEW We spend today in the ancient and compact Roman city of York. First stop is a visit to the Jorvik Viking Centre. The rest of the day is free to explore at our leisure. Day 4 Yorkshire Wildlife Park or Lincoln We have choices today, perhaps another day at the wildlife park – there’s plenty to do – or we could visit the cathedral city of Lincoln. Day 2 York Christmas Markets We get into the Christmas spirit today with a trip to York Christmas markets; stroll the stalls, try some mulled wine and start feeling festive. Day 3 Chatsworth House at Christmas or Harewood House Today we head to Chatsworth House , beautifully dressed for Christmas, where we can admire the decorations. Alternatively we could chose to visit Harewood House. Day 4 Yorkshire Wildlife Park Entrance & Illuminations Driver’s Day Off We have a full day at Yorkshire Wildlife Park today, followed by the spectacular illuminations , complete with coloured light installations and a choice of walks.
