PACKAGED ITINERARY
Day 1 Arrival We arrive at our hotel in time for dinner. Day 2 Irish National Stud & Newbridge Silverware This morning we visit the Irish National Stud & Gardens where we enjoy a guided tour to learn about the lives of the magnificent horses bred and stabled here. We can also visit the Irish Racehorse Experience, an interactive exhibition which guides us through the process of buying a horse at auction, choosing a trainer, jockey and so forth, before reaching the atmospheric ‘Race Day’. Through a simulator, we get to sit on our racehorse and find out how our investments fare in a race! The final Living Legend room overlooks the paddocks and the retired ‘legends’ that live on the farm. There are also beautiful gardens, including the Japanese Gardens and St Fiachras Garden, to enjoy. Next we head to Newbridge Silverware where we enjoy and soup & sandwich lunch , after which we go on a 45 minute guided factory tour . Our unique guided experience shows us the 100-year-old British Army machinery that is still manufactured today and our guide explains why Newbridge Silverware was set up in 1934 after The British Army left Ireland. We see some of the skilled craftsmen at work, using the same methods from 90 years ago. We finish our tour in the Museum of Style Icons, the largest collection of Hollywood memorabilia anywhere in the world, open to the public, and learn how Newbridge Silverware ended up with a multi-million-euro collection of garments from Princess Diana, Audrey Hepburn, Marlyn Monroe, The Beatles and many more. Day 3 Lullymore Heritage Park & Russborough This morning we embark on a guided tour of
in the heart of West Wicklow. This beautiful Georgian house, built in the mid-1700s by Joseph Leeson, is home to the Beit Collection as well as an impressive collection of paintings, sculptures and furnishings, many of which we uncover during our guided tour.
