Day 1 Arrival We arrive at our hotel in time for dinner.
Regiment and discover a collection of compelling soldier stories. Afterwards we have some free time in Perth to shop and explore, perhaps to see the actual Stone of Destiny in the newly opened Perth Museum! Day 4 Edinburgh Castle This morning, we make our way to Edinburgh where we spend the day soaking up its incredible history and monumental sights. During the morning, we visit historic Edinburgh Castle , the impregnable fortress standing on a rocky outcrop above the old town. We head inside this mighty castle to see highlights such as St Margaret’s Chapel and Scottish Crown Jewels and savour the views over the city’s rooftops from its terraces. This afternoon gives us free time to explore this atmospheric city as we wish: perhaps delving into the wynds of the Royal Mile and enjoying the shops and restaurants along bustling Princes Street. Day 5 Departure After breakfast, we make our way home. Day 2 Falkirk Wheel & Rosebank Distillery In the morning, we visit the Falkirk Wheel for a guided tour and journey on the world’s first and only rotating boat lift, an incredible feat of engineering and a famous Scottish landmark. It was designed and built to connect the Forth & Clyde Canal and the Union Canal which allows coast to coast navigation across central Scotland. In the afternoon, we will be savouring a taste of Scotland with a guided tour and whisky tastings at the newly re-opened Rosebank Distillery on the banks of the Forth & Clyde Canal in Falkirk. Dating back to 1840, this historic distillery was famous for its much-loved lowland single malt whisky. Day 3 Scone Palace & Black Watch Museum Today we head to Scone Palace to discover this grand Gothic stately home, the ancient coronation site of Scottish kings and original home of the Stone of Scone, which now resides at Edinburgh Castle. We can explore the resplendent State Rooms, view the rich porcelain, furniture and art; and learn the royal stories and secrets that swirl around this stunning place. In the afternoon we visit the Black Watch Castle & Museum where we are treated to a private Black Watch Story tour where we learn the incredible history of Scotland’s oldest Highland
