These are complemented by driving through some of the most iconic scenery: Eryri (Snowdonia) and the Menai Bridge crossing.

Our day starts with a scenic drive through Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park on our way to Betws-y-Coed. After free time here to browse the shops, art galleries and local produce, we have time for lunch before we continue to Bodnant Welsh Shop in the heart of the Conwy Valley, where we enjoy tea/coffee and bara brith . Here we’ll find the best of Welsh produce from deli and artisan goods to hampers and gifts. We can also visit Bodnant Gardens, home to National Collections and Champion Trees. Day 3 Llandudno & Penderyn Distillery Llandudno We begin our day with free time in the popular seaside resort of Llandudno with its impressive Victorian architecture, pier, shops and attractions, exuding Edwardian charm. After lunch we head to the Penderyn Distillery Llandudno where we enjoy a guided tour and tasting. Our tour and tasting will teach us about the founding of this famous and award-winning brand and what makes the different whiskies taste as they do, so we start to understand why its reputation as a quality whisky producer is growing. Day 4 Anglesey, Llanfair PG & Halen Môn This morning we travel over the Menai Bridge to Anglesey and nearby Beaumaris with its medieval castle, lovely beach and Victorian pier. Here we have free time to explore and find a spot for lunch. Afterwards, we head to Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch to explore this historic village famous for its name followed by a scenic drive to Halen Môn (Anglesey Sea Salt) for a guided tour. We learn about how the sea salt is made into the edible condiment, from the first batch on a family Aga in 1997, to modern day production. Day 5 Departure After breakfast, we make our way home. This morning we visit Caernarfon Castle , recognised as one of the greatest buildings of the Middle Ages and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The first fortification began in the 11th century and took 47 years to complete along with the town and quay. Next we enjoy a scenic drive to Betws-y-Coed, North Wales’ most popular inland resort where we enjoy time at leisure for lunch before returning to our hotel for an afternoon at leisure. Day 3 Plas Cadnant & Puffin Island Cruise This morning we travel over the Menai Bridge to the Isle of Anglesey and nearby Beaumaris with its medieval castle, lovely beach and Victorian pier. While there we relax on a leisurely 80 minute return boat cruise to Puffin Island. In the afternoon we visit one of North Wales’ best kept secrets, the hidden gardens of Plas Cadnant. Please note that the cruise to Puffin Island only starts operating in April. Day 4 Welsh Highland Railway & Portmeirion Today we enjoy a ride on the Welsh Highland Railway , the UK’s longest heritage railway. Our 1.5 hour one way journey runs for 25 miles from Caernarfon, past the foot of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) to the picture postcard village of Beddgelert. On arrival, we re-join our coach and travel to the nearby unique village of Portmeirion , exploring the lovely terraced gardens, picturesque village and shops. Day 5 Departure After breakfast, we make our way home.
