DECEMBER Early December: John Rutter’s Christmas Celebration is the perfect way to celebrate Christmas. Later in December , just before Christmas, the Royal Albert Hall resounds with its annual 4 night series of pre-Christmas Carol concerts. NOVEMBER-DECEMBER Christmas at Kew Take an enchanting journey into a glittering wonderland with Christmas at Kew, the popular after-dark Christmas event that offers a fantastic display of more than 60,000 lights set around the garden, some accompanied by festive music to get you in the spirit of Christmas. There is something for the whole family with fairground rides, cafés and shops, and make sure you check out the grand finale of a laser show illuminating the iconic Temperate House. Windsor Great Park Illuminated Enjoy Windsor Great Park like never seen before, awash with colour and lights. Look for dancing fairies, fireflies and floodlit fountains as you follow a path through the woodland. There’s a multitude of spectacular projections and light displays, they’re sure to dazzle. Rest stops are strategically placed for warming mulled wine and hot chocolate whilst fire pits offer the chance to roast giant marshmallows. Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park Get into the Christmas spirit with a visit to Winter Wonderland in London’s Hyde Park. This family event features a whole range of festive activities including ice skating, spectacular shows, an ice bar, over 100 fairground rides and attractions, and not to forget the Christmas Market! Located in the heart of London, Winter Wonderland is a great place to fully immerse yourself in all things festive. Christmas Lights & Shopping Brighten up those dark winter nights with a trip to the city to see the legendary Christmas lights and spectacular window displays as you search for the ideal gift for that someone special. Some of the top locations include the twinkling lights of Oxford Street and Regent Street, and the beautiful decorations in Covent Garden. NOVEMBER-MARCH Brick Lane Music Hall The historic and unique Brick Lane Music Hall is the only permanent home to music hall productions offering an exhilarating choice of traditional music hall bills and newly produced shows. DECEMBER Festive Fayre at Hampton Court Palace (select weekends) Get into the festive spirit with a visit to the atmospheric Festive Fayre, featuring artisan producers, seasonal shopping, Christmas gifts, street food, pop-up bars and live music. Eat, drink, shop and be merry at Hampton Court Palace! Christmas at Windsor Castle Christmas is an especially magical time of year to visit Windsor Castle, when the State Apartments are adorned with glittering decorations, trees and lights to celebrate the festive season. The highlight is the magnificent 20-foot-high Nordmann fir Christmas tree on display decked from top to bottom with twinkling lights and festive decorations. Christmas Carols at the Old Royal Naval College With one of the finest neo-classical interiors of its kind, the breathtaking Chapel of St Peter and St Paul at Greenwich’s Old Royal Naval College is the beautiful setting for a wonderful Christmas carol service. Surrounded by the richly decorated chapel with its naval themes, enjoy joining the choir to sing the most well-known and uplifting carols.
