FEBRUARY-MARCH Orchids at Kew

Every year, Kew showcases Orchids from a part of the world where these delicate plants grow. In the past few years, visitors have been treated to displays from Indonesia (2020), Costa Rica (2022) and Cameroon (2023), all housed in the Prince of Wales Conservatory. We recommend a full day at Kew to explore all that this fantastic garden has to offer. Camellias at Chiswick House Enjoy the stunning display of rare Camellias in the restored Victorian Conservatory at Chiswick House. Brought by ship from China, where they have been cultivated for centuries, they are one of the oldest collections under glass in Europe. Chiswick House makes a good half day visit, quite handy on the way home. MARCH Royal Albert Hall Mountbatten Festival of Music. The outstanding versatility of some of the world’s finest military musicians are given the “West End” treatment with spectacular lighting effects. Mother’s Day Weekend Why not treat your mum to a trip to London to celebrate Mother’s Day weekend? There’s so much to enjoy in the vibrant capital – shop ‘til you drop, take in a West End show, a lunchtime cruise to see all the sights, or an indulgent afternoon tea. The choice is endless! Sounds of Blossom at Kew Royal Botanical Gardens Celebrate the arrival of spring at Kew Gardens and immerse yourself in the ‘Sounds of Blossom’, as a unique collaboration with the Royal College of Music brings the spectacular blooms to life. New music commissioned by Kew and taking inspiration from the glory of spring will be played around the Gardens’ blossom hotspots by music students from the college. Come and reconnect with nature as you take in the pastel colours, sweet scents and music in this beautiful setting. APRIL Tulip Festival at Hampton Court The Hampton Court Palace Tulip Festival features floral demonstrations as well as arrangements of beautiful flowers for visitors to enjoy. The Tulip Festival is included in the price of palace admission, meaning that groups will be able to explore all attractions that the palace has to offer. MAY RHS Chelsea Flower Show World-famous with stunning garden designs and floral displays, Chelsea is surely the crown in the RHS’s flower shows. Horticultural highlights, daring designs and bountiful shopping make this an absolute must for all flower fans! Royal Albert Hall Film Music Gala. From classic cinematic themes to some of the biggest blockbuster hits of recent times, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra celebrates some of the greatest film music ever written.
