We delve into Northern Ireland’s incredible cultural heritage on this fascinating tour of Belfast with visits to its world-class museums including Titanic Belfast, telling the famed story of its origins. Wander through the amazing Rail, Tram & Road galleries of Ulster’s Transport Museum and for a unique natural phenomenon, we head out of the city and visit the spectacular Giant’s Causeway on North Antrim’s Coast.
Our tour is a wonderful opportunity to experience the heritage and architecture of the thriving city of Belfast. In contrast is the breathtaking & varied coastal scenery of County Antrim and its famous historic castles with fascinating stories and art collections, waiting to be discovered.

Day 2 Mount Stewart House or Hillsborough Castle – the choice is yours! Today we can choose between two of Northern Ireland’s most famous landmarks, Mount Stewart House & Gardens OR Hillsborough Castle. The stunning neo-classical Mount Stewart House dates back to the 19th century and is surrounded by unique and vibrant gardens. Lovingly restored and once the family home of Lady Londonderry, the house’s richly decorated interiors display a vast collection of historic artefacts. OR A beautiful Georgian mansion surrounded in ornamental gardens, Hillsborough Castle operates as a royal palace used by the British Royal Family on official visits to Northern Ireland. An historic place of celebration, entertainment and diplomacy, knowledgeable Castle hosts will tell us of its history as we explore the elegant and ornate State Rooms. Day 3 Guided Tour of Belfast The perfect way to get to know Northern Ireland’s vibrant capital city, we enjoy a half day step on guided tour of Belfast . Marvel at its Victorian architecture such as the Queen’s University, elegant Palm House at the Botanic Gardens and baroque beauty of the City Hall. Famous for building the ill-fated Titanic, the regeneration of the city’s waterfront now features the sleek ship-shaped Titanic Belfast building. This afternoon Today we enjoy a scenic journey along the spectacular Antrim Coast en route to one of Northern Ireland’s oldest and most beautiful estates, Glenarm Castle , where we enjoy a guided tour. Surrounded by an award-winning walled garden dating back to the 17th century and an organic farm, the castle is the ancestral home of the McDonnell family, Earls of Antrim. Our guide will share its long history with us as we discover the castle’s ornate interior rooms including the drawing room, the Blue Room and hall. HOW ABOUT? Farm to Fork Tasting Experience at Glenarm Castle held in the new Coach House Room. This will include a selection of Glenarm Shorthorn Beef and Glenarm Organic Salmon prepared in a variety of ways to show their versatility. This will be accompanied by tea/coffee and followed by a dessert which incorporates ingredients from the Walled Garden and ice cream from the Milk Parlour here on site. The experience will last for roughly one hour. we have free time to explore the city’s iconic sights. Day 4 Antrim Coast Drive & Glenarm Castle
This morning we visit the world-famous Titanic Belfast, which tells the Titanic story through a series of spectacular interactive galleries housed in its iconic building. We roam the shipyard and journey to the depths of the ocean while we immerse ourselves in all things Titanic. The attraction underwent a mul-ti-million-pound transformation in 2023 introducing the theme, ‘The Pursuit of Dreams’, designed to engage visitors with the dreams and stories of those linked to the luxury ship. There are four exciting new themed spaces to discover, including Never Again, Ballard’s Quest, The Ship of Dreams and The Lasting Legacy, as well as an illuminated, rotating 7.6m long scale model of RMS Titanic. We spend the rest of the day at leisure in Belfast, exploring some of the city’s most famous and historic sites and sig-nificant points of interest, including SS Nomadic, St George’s Market, St Anne’s Cathedral and City Hall. Day 3 Giant’s Causeway & Scenic Antrim Coast Drive Today we begin with a visit to the extraordinary natural wonder that is the Giant’s Causeway , a UNESCO World Heritage Site and national nature reserve. Against a splendid backdrop of dramatic cliffs and the crashing North Atlantic Ocean, we get to grips with the world-famous basalt columns, making the most of the photo opportunities, before travelling through more scenic landscape with a drive along the spectacular Antrim Coast, before returning to our hotel. Day 4 Ulster Transport Museum & Ulster Folk Museum This morning we encounter amazing feats of engineering at the Ulster Transport Museum, home to one of the most comprehensive transport collections in Europe, including locomotives, horse-drawn carriages, vintage motorbikes, cars and more. We enjoy a guided tour, celebrating the history of invention and discovering how our lives and communities have always been in motion. This afternoon head to the Ulster Folk Museum directly across from the museum. As we wander through the pretty parkland, we step back in time to experience life in Ulster more than a century ago, encountering costumed locals demonstrating traditional crafts along the way. Or alternatively finish your holiday with an afternoon cruise with River Bann Tours (ask us for details). Day 5 Departure After breakfast, we make our way home.
