Join us on a wonderful tour of Cornwall to discover its incredible coastline, rugged landscape, pretty harbour towns and ancient castles as we travel from the sandy beaches of the south to the dramatic rocky headlands of the north. Learn about the fascinating history of the county with a visit to Cornwall’s capital city of Truro and experience the breath-taking eco gardens at the famous Eden Project.
Based in Newquay, this tour takes in breathtaking gardens, coastline and beautiful Cornish stately homes. We feature a coastal train ride, Prideaux Place and the magnificent Lost Gardens of Heligan where we discover its spectacular gardens and the UK’s only outside jungle!

Day 1 Arrival We arrive at our hotel in time for dinner. Day 2 Train Journey & St Ives

This morning we drive to St Erth to board our regular train for a journey along the beautiful coastline past Carbis Bay to the very heart of St Ives. We have time here to explore this famous resort before returning to our hotel in the late afternoon by coach. Day 3 Truro & The Lost Gardens of Heligan This morning, we make our way to the market town city of Truro, where we can enjoy a stroll before exploring the town’s attractions, including the stunning Gothic Revival Cathedral. After lunch, we head to the amazing Lost Gardens of Heligan where you will be welcomed by a member of the team and escorted to the gardens. On Flora’s Green there will be an introduction to the history of the Heligan Estate along with the magnificent success story of its restoration. We then enjoy a cream tea before time at leisure to explore over 200 acres of garden paradise and enjoy the breathtaking surroundings, including the spectacular jungle! En route back to our hotel we enjoy a photo-stop at picturesque Charlestown and its Grade II Listed Georgian harbour and tall ships, famous for featuring in many TV programmes and films. Day 4 Padstow, The National Lobster Hatchery & Prideaux Place After breakfast, we make our way to Padstow, where we spend time at leisure exploring this charming fishing port and famous foodie destination thanks to its reputation for fabulous seafood restaurants and links to the celebrity chef Rick Stein. You will also have entrance to The National Lobster Hatchery included where you will experience pioneering marine conservation in action by the beautiful estuary in Padstow. It is one of the only conservation projects open to the public worldwide. The visitor Centre allows you to get up close and personal with rarely seen lobster babies, pregnant lobster mamas, giant lobsters and other weird and wonderful coastal creatures. In the afternoon, we visit Prideaux Place, a magnificent Elizabethan manor house perched above Padstow’s busy harbour. We enjoy a guided tour of the house and its rooms, which are in constant use by the family, before exploring the beautiful gardens at leisure and enjoying the views. Day 5 Departure After breakfast, we make our way home. OR Day 5 Newquay & Healey’s Cornish Cyder Farm This morning, we enjoy free time in Newquay itself, to enjoy the facilities of the hotel or perhaps take a stroll along the fabulous Fistral Beach. In the afternoon, we travel to Healey’s Cornish Cyder Farm for a 60-minute guided tour and tasting of this excellent
This morning we visit the pretty harbour town of Fowey. (Please note there is a steep walk to/from the coach park, but a chargeable minibus service is available). Stroll along the Esplanade past quaint houses towards the medieval St Catherine’s Castle or browse in the choice of independent shops before free time for lunch. This afternoon we visit the world-famous Eden Project and its giant covered biomes which house a wealth of Rainforest and Mediterranean indigenous plant species. Discover more in the botanical gardens with plants from the British Isles. Day 3 Truro Free day in Truro together with options to visit the local market (Wednesday only) and the beautiful cathedral. With a free day, explore Cornwall’s only city, Truro where you will find plenty to discover from its iconic gothic architecture and cathedral to the broad choice of independent shops selling locally made crafts, fashion and bread and cheeses. Spend a few hours learning about the fascinating history, art and culture of Cornwall with a visit to Truro’s 200-year-old Royal Cornwall Museum. At the heart of the city is Cornwall’s spectacular Cathedral built in Gothic revival style with three spires, a vaulted arch and beautiful stained- glass windows. Day 4 Boscastle, Tintagel and Port Issac Our day of touring starts with a visit to the picturesque natural harbour and village of Boscastle. Surrounded by steep cliffs, the picture-postcard village is home to quaint stone-built cottages, shops and tearooms. Steeped in magic and mystery, our next visit is to Tintagel set on a rugged headland and famous for its connection with King Arthur, dramatic coastline and abandoned slate quarries. Our final visit is to Port Issac, a charming fishing village which might look familiar as it’s the setting for the TV series Doc Martin. (Please note that Port Issac only has a coach drop off point and no dedicated parking for coaches). Day 5 Departure After breakfast, we make our way home. OR Day 5 Bodmin Steam Railway and Pencarrow This morning we take a scenic steam train ride from Bodmin General to Bodmin Parkway. With free time in Bodmin, the historic former county town has plenty to interest visitors including Bodmin Jail and St Petroc’s Church. Enjoy lunch in one of the town’s cafes and pubs. This afternoon we visit Pencarrow House, the stunning grade II listed Georgian country home of the Molesworth-St Aubyns family surrounded in beautiful, landscaped gardens. After a fascinating guided tour enjoy a cream tea in the Peacock café Day 6 Departure After breakfast, we make our way home.
