Rising electricity tariffs have seen many business owners choose a solar system to harvest free electricity. However, the investment is enormous. It cost millions to install a set of the solar system to produce a certain amount of power and make it sustainable for 24 hours. DISADVANTAGES OF SOLAR ENERGY: Cost - The initial cost of purchasing a solar system is fairly high. This includes paying for solar panels, inverter, batteries, wiring, and for the installation. Weather Dependent - Solar panels are dependent on sunlight to effectively gather solar energy. Therefore, a few cloudy, rainy days can have a noticeable effect on the energy system. Also, solar energy cannot be collected during the night. Uses a Lot of Space -The more electricity you want to produce, the more solar panels you will need as it can only produced 400watt for each panel. It will require a lot of space. Associated with Pollution- There are some toxic materials and hazardous products used during the manufacturing process of solar photovoltaic systems, which can indirectly affect the environment.

This proposal is to get the attention of the management of Sime Darby Plantation as we like to share how to overcome the higher electricity tariff that everyone will face from time to time. The way to go green has also been an aspiration to save the dollar and cents and lower greenhouse emissions. Our system uses all sources of elements as defined as renewable. The energy generated from renewable resources is naturally replenishing for human timescales, such as water, wind, and air. Investing in the Renewable Energy system and utilize 100% green electricity production to power up the whole setup will make Sime Darby Plantation the World's First Green Plantation .

THE SYSTEM
for SIME DARBY PLANTATION
The stand-alone hydro system will produce green electricity with the lowest production cost. It only requires any water, be it rainwater, industrial water, etc. The electricity produced is kept in our storage system to ensure the stability of the electricity supply. This will helps to reduce the imbalances between energy demand and energy production. And make it more predictable. Our battery storage technology can keep the energy and released it upon demands.

1. Top tank water is released through the 35 degrees angle pipe down. 2. The water reaches Pelton turbine. 3. Pelton spins the generator. 4. The water from the Pelton turbine falls and passes through 4 sets of Pryter Impeller. 5. The water then sucks by the pump and pushes to the top tank via the 90 degrees pipe. 6. The water reaches the top tank. 7. Restart process no. 1
The energy produced will charge the storage system, and power released upon request.

As from calculation we understand that the usage power consumptions is between 1.6MW – 2.2MW/h. Hence, we are proposing the 2.4MW/h Stand Alone Hydro System. The surplus can used for charging future electricity units. Our system will only need to pay RM0.09kW/h for service and maintenance.

Besides enjoying green and cheaper electricity, Carbon Credit will provide extra revenue to the Renewable Energy system's owners. Carbon Credit is a business model which can be a trading activity amongst the certificate holders. The carbon footprint reduction will be recorded, calculated, and approved by TUV SUD then traded in Carbon Credit Exchange. Quota saved can be sold to users with above limit carbon production. As for now Sime Darby usage is up to 2.2MW/h equivalent to 900kg CO2.
