Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is the world leader in aviation and aerospace higher education. Our mission is to teach the science, practice and business necessary to prepare students for productive careers and leadership roles in business, government agencies and the military. Embry-Riddle’s reputation as a leader in aviation and aerospace higher education is grounded in its aviation roots dating back to 1926.
MESSAGE FROM THE CHANCELLOR
The 2020-2023 Strategic Plan for Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s Worldwide Campus illustrates the unique role of the Worldwide Campus while strongly supporting the vision, mission, and strategic goals of the University. The focus of this Worldwide plan is on student success. For the three-year period, we have planned specific measures to:

A Focus on Student Success
The Worldwide Campus of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University will reach the goals of its three-year plan through specific actions that will enhance the student experience and clear the path to graduation and beyond. It is a plan that focuses on providing industry-relevant educational programs and helping students fulfill their career ambitions.

GOAL ONE
Attain an undergraduate six-year graduation rate of 40 percent. Identify barriers to undergraduate degree completion. Simplify undergraduate degree programs for clean degree paths with minimal options. Expand the Pathways to Success program to all undergraduates.
GRADUATI ON
Communicate more effectively and personally to students. Establish the student’s expectation of appropriate completion. Provide students with degree maps for all programs.

Increase successful partnerships. Establish positions of philanthropy and alumni within the Worldwide Campus. Organize an interdepartmental group to identify, develop, review and support partnerships. Use the associations and resources of students and faculty to identify potential partners. Cooperate with other institutions in the forming of common partnerships.

QUAL ITY ACAD EM I C PROGRAMS RELEVANT TO I NDUSTRY
Ensure that all programs, specializations and concentrations are relevant to industry and eliminate those that are not. Charge deans to conduct an external pre- and post-program review, including a market analysis, before the regular program review. Obtain professional accreditation for programs as appropriate. Regularly request employers and alumni to review the curriculum for relevancy. Enhance the quality of program delivery and applied scholarship. Strengthen faculty capabilities to align with programs and industry needs. Invest in faculty development for the expansion of applied scholarship. Create market awareness of the capabilities and qualifications of the faculty.

G LOBAL BRAND AWAREN ESS O F OUR TECHNO LOGY ENHANCED EDUCATI ON
Increase the acquisition and use of innovative instructional technology. Establish an interdepartmental Worldwide Technology Council to develop an acquisition plan for new technology, including the consideration of the technology of competing institutions, adaptive learning technology and a new synchronous virtual classroom. Provide regular faculty and staff training in current technology. Enhance brand awareness of the Worldwide Campus. Proportionally scale Worldwide marketing to competitor institutions. Recreate the Worldwide website and marketing materials. Coordinate marketing / branding across all university and Worldwide units. Accentuate Worldwide’s leading position in online education.

Facilitate meaningful engagement among students, faculty, staff and alumni. Create an integrated plan for campus, college, and programmatic communication with students. Leverage eUnion with clear expectations for all constituencies. Evolve teaching to create a personalized learning experience. Design the curriculum for a personalized learning experience. Evolve faculty culture to support innovative teaching and learning. Include faculty video experiences in every course. Refocus CTLE professional development to also emphasize pedagogy that creates personalized faculty / student contact. Motivate student success by emphasizing potential future career gains. Communicate ROI benchmarks to students throughout their Embry-Riddle experience.
