Welcome to the Sorenson companies’ 2018 Benefit Guide. We are committed to providing all eligible employees with a comprehensive and competitive benefit package. Each year, we conduct an extensive review of our benefits package. This year is no different as we researched alternative plan designs with our current carriers as well as alternative plans offered by other medical, dental and vision carriers. With guidance from our benefits consultant firm, ME Wilson, we determined that the current referenced based pricing model (Elap/AMPS) could be replaced with a better point-of-sale (POS II) product provided by Aetna. We also value Wellness – from both a health and financial perspective. We believe in empowering you and your families to live healthy, productive, high energy lives. We are strong advocates for preventative health care and thus have ensured continuation of preventative services coverage with Aetna. We continue to encourage our employees to become tobacco free and have many helpful items on the ADP portal to assist you in this journey to better health. We will also be adding a Health & Wellness area to our ADP Portal which will have other helpful tools to assist you as you commit to making better health choices. We have also taken great care in making sure we continue to offer valuable health protection at a competitive cost share. Again, in 2018, your company’s medical plan offerings meet the minimum essential coverage requirements under the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Enrollment in one of the employer sponsored medical plans will satisfy the individual mandate under the ACA. If you have questions about the Affordable Care Act, visit www.healthcare.gov .
