Undergraduate Grand Board Member Daniel I. Nixon will completed his run at the Olympic Games Qualifiers in Eugene, OR. Nixon advanced to the final of the men's 800-meter run. Running in the second semifinal, Nixon kept himself near the front of the race and gave himself a chance down the homestretch. He rallied in the final meters to try and overcome USC's national champ Isaiah Jewett, but took fourth in 1:46.21, which was good enough to advance to the final on time. It is the second-best run of Nixon's career, just behind his personal best of 1:46.15 from the night before. Nixon ran a personal best 1:45.56 in the Men's 800M Final. Here's to Brother Nixon!
