The Road to Recovery – From Tragedy to Triumph Patient Spotlight – From Tragedy to Triumph | Nevaeh Bryant Pronounced (Nu-Vay). Nevaeh is also heaven spelled backwards. Written by Katrena Holmes – Social Media Consultant While traveling to Alabama on Tuesday, May 31st, 6-year old Nevaeh Bryant and her daddy were tragically hit from behind by an 18 wheeler truck (see picture). Nevaeh explains, “I was crying so bad and my daddy was bleeding.” “My pain was at the highest-highest level.” “My neck was hurting and my back was hurting, too.” Upon hearing the news of the car accident, Danielle Bryant, Nevaeh’s mom, states, “I was afraid. All I wanted was for Nevaeh’s pain to go away and that she could move her neck again and that she didn’t have future problems.”

HAS YOUR PAIN COME BACK?

1 2 3

Feel free to call us and ask to speak to your therapist. Your therapist can discuss with you why your pain is bothering you again and what you might do about it at home. If further assessment is warranted, your therapist might recommend you come in for an appointment.

Ms. Bryant was referred to Atlanta Human Performance Center by Nevaeh’s pediatrician. With the help of Dr. Evans and Mrs. Arnold, Nevaeh is grateful for the assistance that she received during her recovery. It is July 27th, less than one month after the tragic accident and Nevaeh is graduating from Atlanta Human Performance Center! Nevaeh explains her treatment process. “Mrs. Arnold gave me massages, she put cream on my shoulders, we exercised and jumped on the trampoline.” “My favorite part about therapy were the exercises. All the doctors have been nice to me.” Ms. Bryant sends a heartfelt message to the Atlanta Human Performance Center staff, “I thank you for making her feel comfortable. She loved it here; she said it was fun and she just enjoyed you all.” Nevaeh has a message for all the kids who have been in an accident, “Be careful and I hope you feel better.” Upon asking Nevaeh if kids should receive physical therapy when they have been in an accident, without hesitation, Nevaeh exclaims, “Yes, physical therapy is fun!” Ms. Bryant and Nevaeh highly recommend Atlanta Human Performance Center.
