MANUFACTURER - BAXI

BAXI IRELAND COMMERCIAL MANAGER LAURENCE COX EXPLORES THE LATEST UPDATES TO ITS LEADING BOILER RANGE TO MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF INSTALLERS AND THEIR CUSTOMERS… Boosting boiler performance through installer feedback

DESIGNED FOR YOU Most leading heating system manufacturers, including Baxi, view installer feedback as invaluable in helping to improve and update products. But how many manufacturers really act on these responses? As a commitment to installers, Baxi has made a number of changes to its newer boiler models following feedback from a network of customers, with the aim of making their jobs easier. Design features have been refined on the Baxi 600 and 800 2 and Baxi Assure 500 2 ranges, all of which are available in Combi, System and Heat Only formats. These updates are designed to make maintenance and installation smoother and the boilers particularly installer friendly. RESPONDING TO INSTALLER FEEDBACK In direct response to feedback from the installer community, Baxi has reinstated the pressure gauge to be visible on the exterior case, making it quicker and easier for installers and their customers to check the pressure of the system. Key features of the Baxi Combi and System 2 boilers include: • A pre-heated siphonic condensate trap, which helps prevent freezing and boiler lockouts in adverse winter conditions • A combined PrV and separate primary boiler drain for quick, simple draining and maintenance access • Colour-coded wiring blocks for easier wiring

The ranges are manually convertible between Natural Gas or LPG without the need for a conversion kit to be fitted, adding flexibility for off-gas applications. Baxi’s 600 and 800 ranges and Assure 500 models also provide installers with greater flexibility to meet the requirements of a

year parts and labour warranty. Baxi has also switched to an entirely recyclable vertical sleeve packaging design with no polystyrene, making its disposal much easier and more sustainable. The existing benefits and latest refinements make the new range easier to work with, remove barriers for installers and continue to bridge the gap between customer and manufacturer. variety of domestic property applications – large and small. For instance, the flagship 800 range offers a wider range of outputs to meet the needs of a variety of different properties. This includes 24kW to 36kW for Combi boilers, 15kW to 30kW for System and 16kW to 30kW for Heat Only. Putting installers at the centre of the new design, the 500, 600 and 800 models are compact and lightweight, making it easier to fit them in cupboards and small spaces. The boilers also have a top central flue and pipe-behind facility, as well as naturally stronger and more corrosion- resistant brass hydraulics, designed from the ground up with installers in mind. Additionally, OpenTherm integration is available for use in conjunction with smart controls such as the Baxi uSense to optimise usage and reduce gas consumption. For homeowner and installer peace of mind, the 600 models have a seven-year parts and labour warranty. The flagship 800 range also has a 10-year parts warranty and an Adey Magnaclean Micro 2 system filter to maintain efficiency. The Baxi Assure 500 range comes with a five-
