Deppe Angus - Progress Through Testing Angus Bull & Female Sale [2/27/26]

BULL & FEMALE SALE

Greetings! Thank you for your interest in our Progress Through Testing Bull and Female Sale. We are excited to invite you to join us on Friday, February 27, 2026, for our annual sale, hosted at our home farm northwest of Waverly, Iowa (2004 Casper Ave., Waverly, IA). For your convenience, the sale will also be broad- cast live online through DVAuction.com. We are extremely proud of this year’s offering, which includes 76 outstand- ing performance-tested bulls, 27 elite yearling heifers, and 21 front pasture– bred females and pairs. Without question, this is the highest-quality and deepest set of cattle we have ever offered—designed to add consistency, performance, and maternal strength. For 30 years, our goal has remained unchanged: to produce perfor- mance-tested bulls and females that accelerate genetic progress in both commercial and seedstock operations. Our cattle are built to thrive in di- verse environments across the United States, and we are especially proud that over 60% of our bulls each year are purchased by repeat customers who have found long-term success using our genetics. Many of the most respected programs in the Angus breed continue to build with cattle bred and raised at Deppe Angus. We firmly believe that the foundation of any successful program is a great cow—one that excels in fertility, longevity, and performance while still of- fering optimum carcass genetics that add value at every level of the beef industry. These principles guide every mating decision we make and are evident throughout this offering, from our bulls to our replacement females and bred cows. In keeping with that philosophy, we are offering an exceptional opportunity with the sale of two cornerstone foundation donor cows that have helped define our program.

Deppe GAF Blackcap 030, the dam of Front-Runner 3010, has left an indeli- ble mark through her elite sons and daughters, blending maternal strength with high-end performance. Deppe JA Blackcap 0212, the dam of Midland-winning bulls and high sell- ers, has proven herself as a true breed influencer, producing cattle that ex- cel both in the show ring and in real-world performance environments. Op- portunities to acquire females of this caliber simply do not come available. For nearly 20 years, we have utilized DNA testing and genomic data, along with extensive embryo transfer and IVF, to accelerate genetic improvement. This year, we are also proud to offer a truly rare opportunity: an IVF cycle on the #1 $Maternal female in the entire Angus population. Opportunities of this caliber seldom become available, and we believe this lot represents a unique chance to make an immediate and lasting genetic impact. In that same spirit, a portion of the proceeds from Lot 100 will be donated to the Angus Foundation’s Fund the Future campaign, supporting education, youth, and the long-term success of the Angus breed. The Chad and Carrie Gotto family play an integral role in developing our bulls. Bulls are grown in open dirt lots with ample room to exercise, promot- ing long-term soundness of feet and legs. All bulls have been ultrasounded, passed a breeding soundness exam, and sell with a first-breeding-season guarantee. Sale day will feature a live auctioneer with TV monitors, allowing cattle to remain penned for easy viewing. Bulls and females will be available for in- spection 10 days prior to the sale, and we invite you to join us on sale day for a complimentary lunch and dinner. We sincerely appreciate your interest and continued support of our pro- gram and look forward to visiting with you—whether in person or online— on sale day. Dennis & Jennifer Deppe, Deppe Angus
