Honorary Co-Chair of the Delaware Antiques Show, award-winning architect Gil Schafer III is the founder of internationally acclaimed G. P. Schafer Architect, PLLC. An Architectural Digest AD 100 member, Schafer is consistently recognized as one of the world’s leading experts on contemporary classical architecture. From 1999 to 2006, Schafer served as the president and then chairman of the Institute of Classical Architecture & Classical America. His work and firm’s projects have been widely featured in publications in the U.S. and abroad, including Architectural Digest, Elle Décor, House Beautiful, Veranda, the New York Times, and the Wall Street Journal . Schafer is also a noted author. His best-selling The Great American House: Tradition for the Way We Live Now blends classical architecture, interior decoration, and landscape to create homes with a feeling of history.
