Tokach Angus Ranch - 50th Annual Angus Bull & Female Sale [2/17/25]

WELCOME Welcome to our 50th Annual Performance sale to be held February 17th, 2025, at Kist Livestock Auction, Mandan ND. 2025 marks our 50th year of selling seedstock through our annual sale and the 70th year that we have been in the registered Angus business. Who would have thought that when Richard M Tokach purchased his first registered females in 1955 that we would still be fortunate enough to make agriculture and more specifically the Angus business our livelihood. While the pedigrees, performance levels and technology we use has changed immensely over the past 70 years, our goals have largely remained the same. That is to produce seedstock that excel in the economically relevant traits for the commercial cattle producers in this region. We are fortunate to have many first, second, and even third generation customers that have supported our family through their friendships and purchases either private treaty or for the past 50 years through our annual production sale. There are no words to truly express how impactful your friendships and belief in our genetic program mean to our entire family. Simply, all we can say is, THANK YOU! We were blessed to have a beautiful fall and winter to date at the ranch. The cattle have responded accordingly as our 2025 bull sale offering will be the highest performing group of bulls that we have ever offered. Some credit should also be given to our stacking of low birth – high growth genetics for multiple generations. As always, we are offering several new sire groups for repeat customers as well as sire groups from the past that have been our favorites. TOKACH BULLS are structurally sound, not overfat, that will sire low to mod- erate birth weights, heavy weaning weights without benefit of creep feeding or supplemental cow feeding, rapid feedlot gain plus great carcass traits for those that sell on a grid and enjoy the added Certified Angus Beef premiums. The bred heifer offering is probably the best we have ever selected for our annual production sale. They are deep bodied, wide based, easy fleshing females that carry the trademark “TOKACH FEMALE” look. In addition, all the heifers were AI’d to several of the most noted bulls in the industry. The TOKACH FEMALES are hardworking, low input females that have been bred and developed to run in big country with a minimum of care. Cows with bad dispositions, bad feet and udders or being open in the fall all earn a one-way trip to the sale barn. All the registered cattle have been AngusGS tested to ensure pedigree integrity and provide the most accurate and up to date genetic predications the industry has to offer. Videos of the sale offering will be posted on DVAuction just like they have in the past for your viewing and buying convenience. Richard & Ben would welcome phone calls on any of the sale offering. They see and feed the sale offering daily and know them better than anyone. They may be a bit biased knowing the genetics behind the sale offering but they will be honest in their opinions. We also would encourage you to stop out at the ranch at any time to see the bulls and heifers in person and the environment they were raised in. The sale cattle have been handled the same as in the past. The cattle have not been creep fed and are currently on home grown feed with a protein and mineral supplement. The bulls were weaned in early October and the bred heifers sorted off on December 1st. Birth weight are taken with a scale, weaning weights taken at weaning and yearling weights taken just in time for this catalog to go to press. The cattle can be seen at Kist’s Livestock Auction in Mandan from February 15th until sale time. Prior to that time, they and the cowherd can be seen at the ranch at your convenience. Thank you to all our customers.
