Understanding WAITLISTS A waitlist is a list you join for a class that is already full. If someone in the class drops, a seat opens up for the next student on the waitlist. Students on the waitlist are notified through email when a seat opens. How do I waitlist a class? If a class you are trying to register for is full, it will give you an option to join the waitlist. How do I manage my waitlist? You can check your waitlist status through Self-Service by clicking on “Register for Classes/View My Schedule.” How do I register into a class from a waitlist? You will get an email. It will only be sent to your student email account or you can access the information in Self-Service under “Register for Classes/ View My Schedule” to see if your status has changed to “Permission to Register.” Once permission to register is granted, you will have four days (including weekends) to enroll in the class. What if I’m still on the waitlist when class starts? If it is an in-person class you can attend the first class meeting and ask the instructor for Authorization to add the class. If the class is 100% online, you can email the instructor to ask for Authorization. If the instructor says yes, you will be able to go into Self-Service and register for the class What if I have a registration hold or need counselor clearance? You can visit the Counseling Office or
