Primary Construction Program
PROJECT: I-95 Fort McHenry Tunnel - Rehabilitate Substructure and Superstructure of Various Bridges on I-95 in Baltimore City DESCRIPTION: Repair substructure and superstructure of seventy-four bridges on I-95 in Baltimore City. The work includes structural weld repairs, structural steel repairs, roadway joint repairs, concrete repairs, and application of protective coatings on seventy-four bridges. This project includes two phases. Each phase includes thirty-seven bridges.
PURPOSE & NEED SUMMARY STATEMENT: The annual facility inspections, as well as findings and issues noted by MDTA Operations, have identified the need to perform a comprehensive substructure and superstructure rehabilitation throughout this facility.
