THE K I N G ’ S BUS I NESS she was saved” , but as the worker probed a little she could find no real ground of assurance such as the shed blood and sins forgiven. Only the one reason was given several, times that “ she felt she was saved because she always asked Jesus to help her when she was in trouble and that showed she loved Him. “ Then if you were down town and needed to know what street car to take and asked a big policeman to help you, would that be a sign of your love and relationship to him?” gently asked the worker. “ Why, no,” was the answer with a faint laugh, and now the way was open to present Jesus as the One who died for her, Who rose again, Who lives to intercede and is coming again in the glory, and it was a joy to see thé new expression of peace and comfort replace that of dissatisfaction and unrest. IT MAY BE YOUR DODLAR! Every man, woman and child in the. United States has war work to do. The duty of those at home is to provide the wherewith to fight, for those who have gone, or are going, to France. There is a firing line for the stay-at- homes and that is in the War Savings army. Thrift will win the war, for by it, ammunition may be purchased, by means of the money saved and loaned to the Government. If you are not on the firing line of your district, seek and take your place at once. The hoarded dollar is a slacker dollar. The ill-spent dollar is a slacker dollar. The dollar withheld from your country in this moment of stress and strain is the mean est dollar of all, for it may be the very last one needed to buy the very last thing necessary to win the war.

When a direct question was put to a young woman one day about her rela tion to the Master, she replied, “ Well, I used to think I was saved, but of late I am all mixed up about it.” Then she said, “ A good old lady has been calling on me of late and telling me I was not saved because I did not keep Saturday as the Sabbath. Do you think I am?” We asked if she would care to see what the Bible said rather than what we thought, and she said “ O yes, I know so little about the Bible.” So we pored over the Word together for an hour till she saw things clearly and herself saved and kept only by grace. She marked passages here and there and finally, with a new light in her face, said “ It’s very sweet and clear now. I surely will come to Bible class, and I know now how to reply to my old lady when she comes again.” One little woman had been very ill and was not only physically depleted, but very despondent. The Bible Woman sympathized and chatted a few minutes and then asked, “ And have you a vital relationship to Jesus Christ? For He gives peace, you know, in all circum stances, and He will not fail you or for sake you.” The sick woman was “ sure
