you see them every day. Yes, a horse and he is such a useful ani- mal, and some of you boys and girls have

trashy, and choose the largest souled peo ple for our friends. All things are law ful but all things are not expedient. Therefore, follow after the things which edify. Spiritually. To have growth there must be life. We do not plant grains of sand but seeds. We have no spiritual nature to grow until Christ has first been formed within us. (Gal. 4:19) Some girl may suggest that many people who do not have Christ have beautiful characters. True. Wheat and tares, _ flowers and weeds often look alike. Christian graces apart from Christ are like roses tied on dead bushes Hus bands and wives because they think the same thoughts and live the same life often grow to look alike. To grow like God means that we must companion with God, talk with Him (pray), think His thoughts, discover His purposes and ideal. (Bible study and church.) Observe how Christ grew spiritually. Christ had a Christian home which is the rightful inheritance of every child. We believe that God’s Word was opened and God’s blessing invoked every day in that home. Christ we know was cheerful, brave and unselfish. That Christ was a diligent student of God’s Word is proven by His questions. He was a marvel to the elders. Christ loved the house of God. He made friends of Christian folks. Christ was eager ,to know more about God. So interested was He in hearing the Word of God ex plained that He did not know that He was left behind. “ He grew in favor with God and man.” So will every boy and girl who loves God and loves the things God loves. Memory Verse. “ A soft answer turn- eth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.” Prov. 15:1. had rides on his back and in a buggy and just had such a good time. How do we make the horse go where we want _ him to go when we drive him? Yes, we put a bridle on him and then we can guide him and hold him. Could we drive the horse without a bridle? No, we could not guide him or hold him at all without a bridle, and he would run away and throw us off from his back or out of the buggy and hurt us, and some times run over other people and hurt them too. We all like horses for they have done so- much to help people, and are so strong and can carry such big loads and run so fast, and I have told you about the horse this morning because our lesson story is about some thing that is a part of our body, and in many ways it is like the horse, and you are wondering what it can be. Chil dren, who gives us everything we have? Yes, God. Shall we bow our heads and thank Him for giving us so liiany things to help us and make us happy? Lesson Story.—This little part of our body I am going to tell you about this morning I am going to call a little mes senger, and it is like a horse in that way too, for before we had automobiles and trains we sent our packages and messages to our friends in wagons drawn by horses. This little messenger of ours can run away .too, just like the horse. If we saw a run away horse coming down the street we would get out of the way, wouldn’t we? Yes, indeed we would. Well this little mes senger of ours makes people want to get out of the way, too when it runs away. Now what do you suppose we call this messenger that every one of us have? Now I am going to see how well you remember another story we had about this same little messenger. Listen and see who will be the first one to tell me
