Pastor or Superintendent for names. Those blind will enjoy your reading to them. A few flowers and a verse of Scripture often bring a cheer to the sick room that nothing else will. We all love to be reminded that somebody thinks of us and cares. Have the girls of your class ever tried singing Gospel Songs to shut-ins at home or in the hospitals? Try it. These days girls can use every spare moment sewing for needy children of Europe. Let someone read a good missionary story as you sew. Your mis sionary can suggest many ways you can help. If you haven’t a missionary write to your board for one. With a little thought and trouble you can help hun dreds of children in China or Africa by sharing your unused picture cards and picture rolls. For further information write to Dr. S .D. Price, 216 Metropoli tan Tower, New York, (enclose stamp.) Memory Verse.— “ I was glad when they said unto me, let us go into the house of the Lord” . Psa. 122:1. Approach.^ (Draw on board, show picture, or better still have a paper model of a church. If class is small make model for each child and let chil dren paste together BEGINNERS with your assistance.) AND I N ow we sometimes PRIMARY make play houses, but this morning we have made a little church, because our story to-day is about working in the church, and the church we are to hear about is the one Jesus’ disciples were working in after He had gone back to heaven, and as the Sunday School is a part of the church, we are working in the church too. How many of you boys and girls remember the shepherd boy David? Yes, and David loved God’s house very much, and he is the one who said the words we have for our memory verse. Now I am going to repeat it for you, and then all who are truly glad that we have a church to come to, may say it

over with me. O how happy and thank ful we should be for the church. Lesson Story.—When Jesus left this world and went back to heaven He told the •- disciples and friends to come together arid pray and read the Bible and He would send His Spirit upon them, and then they would be strong and have great power so they could work for Him down here while He was up in heaven getting a home ready for all who love Him and work for Him, so the people built churches so they would have a place to meet in. Peter, who you will remember was one of Jesus’ disciples, stood up one day and began to talk to this great crowd of peo ple and told them how some of the peo ple did not believe Jesus was God’s Son, and how they had killed Him by nailing Him to the cross, and when Peter had finished talking, many of the people felt very sorry, and then they asked Peter what they could do to be saved, and he told them they must ask Jesus to for give their sins, and when they were really sorry for the many wrong things they had done, for you know we can not do the right things without we have Jesus to help us, they gave their hearts to Jesus, and they were so ' happy and glad to come into the church and work to get other people to know Jesus too, and you know tliat is the only reason Jesus wants us to have Sunday School and church, to help tell boys and girls and grown up folks how much Jesus loves them, and how He died to save them. Now there were a great many of the people who heard Peter speak, who believed Jesus was God’s Son, and that He died for their sins, and so they gave their hearts to Jesus and joined the church, so many people that you could not count them. They had Sunday School and church services and told the people about Jesus, and then these peo ple would go out and tell their friends, and every single day some more people believed in Jesus and joined the church. My! how happy Jesus was to have these
