THE K I N G ’ S BUS I NESS and started on their long journey home, and Jesus’ parents and friends started too and thought Jesus was in their com pany, so they travelled on until evening, and when they began to look for their boy Jesus, he was not to be found any where. Of course they could not go on without Jesus, so they left the rest of the company and turned around and went back to Jerusalem, and where do you suppose they found their dear boy Jesus. Yes, right there in the church talking to the great teachers of the church, hearing what they said and asking them questions, and all who heard little Jesus wondered how he knew so much about the Bible, for he was only a boy. When Jesus’ parents came in and asked him why he had stayed behind, he was surprised, and said, he must be learning the things his heavenly Father had sent him down into this world to do, for God had sent Jesus down here to teach people the Bible, before He should die on the cross for their sins, and Jesus was beginning at the right time while he was just a child. Jesus was so happy and interested that he did not notice that his people had gone home, but when they came back for him and spoke to him, he got right up and went home with them and obeyed them at all times. God put the church here to help us to grow strong and learn to love Him, and Jesus has shown us in our story to-day how he grew strong, and was able to do all the work God sent him to do, and he has set us such a good example by going to church, and he began when he was a child, and aren’t we glad we are here in Sunday School this morning, learning how we can grow strong, and go out and do the work Jesus has sent us to do-—bring other boys and girls to Sunday School, so they will learn to love Jesus. Closing Prayer.%f-Dear Jesus, we thank thee for telling us how thou didst grow strong, and help us to go to Sunday School and church every Sun day and grow strong.

7M was a boy living down here in this world, and how he grew strong. Our Memory Verse tells us how we can grow strong, so we will learn it. Prayer.—Dear Lord Jesus we thank thee for our Bible stories, which help us to grow strong. Lesson Story.— Boys and girls always like to go on a journey, and we know how very happy the little boy Jesus must have been, when his parents told him he could go along with them up to the big city of Jerusalem, for it was the time of the year for the Passover, which was a time of thanksgiving when all God’s people came together to thank Him. '\ (See lesson of June 9th for explanation of Passover for children of primary age. They love to tell these stories back to you.) Now when the people went up to the Passover, they travelled together in companies; friends and neighbors would go up together. Perhaps some of them road on mules or burros, but many of them walked all the way, and little Jesus had such a good time as they walked on together, and there were so many things for him to see and talk about. (Put life and spirit into this beautiful story as you tell it, and make it real as it is.) Jesus was such a good boy in the home and always did things his parents asked him to do, that they could trust him every where they went, and he played among the other boys and girls that were along in this company. Of course when they got to the city of Jerusalem, they went to the beautiful temple, which was the church, and Jesus listened to every word the minister said, and sat very quiet, for he was so glad to be there in this beautiful church, for he heard about God, his heavenly Father and the won derful things He had done for his peo ple, and Jesus was very happy and he wanted to remember every word so he could grow stronger each day, and do all the things God had sent him down here to do. After the Passover was ended, the great crowd of people left the city
