Noteworthy card of Christy Mathewson winding up to deliver a pitch, from “The Kraken,” the most popular and widely-collected of all the caramel issues. Matty’s name is misspelled on the card, an uncorrected error. Though the visual appeal is strong, the card is accurately graded, as it does exhibit some spider wrinkles that mar the surface of the card here and there, most visible at the top left. It should also be noted that the PSA holder does exhibit a small crack near the top; the card is being sold as is.
