2019 ANCC Men's "B" Team & Qualifying

Announcing the 2019 Spring Kickoff! Save the date for Saturday, 6 April. The Spring Kickoff will begin with a social hour at 11:00 AM in the Williamsburg Room, followed by lunch and a brief business meeting before we head to the course for a 9-hole scramble at 2:00 PM. Teams will be assigned and no handicaps are required. CWGO 2019 Rules Clinic : There were major changes to rules that became effective on January 1, 2019. We will hold an extended clinic, hosted by Greg Scott, on Saturday, 9 March from 12:00 - 3:00 PM fol- lowed by a happy hour. To ensure accurate headcount for participation and light munchies, click here to register. We hope to see you there! CWGO Career Women's Golf Organization WNHGO Women's 9-Hole Golf Organization The Winter Golf season ends Sunday, 31 March and a total of 10 rounds must be played at ANCC and posted by this date. WNHGO has bi-weekly play April through October. Regular competitions are held in three handicap flights on Tuesday mornings at FFX and Friday mornings at ARL. The first day of regular play for the 2019 season will be Tuesday, 2 April at FFX. The Spring Luncheon will be held Tuesday, 19 March at ARL. Sign-up opens on Tuesday, 19 February and closes on Tuesday, 12 March. Registration for yearly events and activities begins at 11:30 AM and luncheon begins at noon. Spring Golf Clinics will be on Wednesdays in ARL and Thursdays at FFX at 10:00 AM. Sign-up on the Golf Calendar. The 18-Hole Women’s Golf Organization has organized a number of activities to get ready for golf season, including a Spring Luncheon and Business Meeting on Tuesday, 2 April, a Golf Rules Update Clinic on Saturday, 12 April (9:00 AM to noon), and group sessions to improve your golf skills with Liz Cooper (11:00 AM to noon) as follows: • Mastering Chipping and Putting to Lower Your Golf Score — Tuesday, 19 March at ARLINGTON and Friday, 29 March at FAIRFAX • Hitting More Greens and Gaining Distance with Your Driver — Friday April 5 at FAIRFAX and Tuesday April 9 at ARLINGTON. Sign up for each of the above events individually online and regular Tuesday and Friday "Play Days" commence Tuesday, 16 April. The WGO-18 welcomes new members at any time. The ANCC Men's "B" Team competition begins late April and is a great way to meet other ANCC members and play competitive golf against other area clubs. The ‘B’ Team is open to all men with course handicaps ranging from 5 to 16. Matches are held on Saturdays and/or Sundays from late April through July with playoffs going from August through October. 2019 WMGA Senior Men’s ‘A’ Team

The Washington Metropolitan Golf Association Senior ‘A’ Team competition matches will begin in April and continue into May as needed. Division winners will proceed on to play single elimination quarter, semi-final, and final matches. We need the best senior golfers, age 55+, to represent Army Navy Country Club. Selection criteria for the team matches will be based on the 1 April 2019 handicaps (which are expected to be current and accurate). A tryout will be held at Arlington on Sunday, 31 March and Saturday, 6 April (tee times TBD). All matches are played at scratch. SGLNV - Senior Golf League of Northern Virginia The Senior Golf League of Northern Virginia was founded in 2004 to promote friendly competition between Senior Golfers at Country Clubs. Matches are played at scratch on Wednesdays about 10:30 – 11:30 AM. ANCC needs low handicap senior golfers (age 50+) to play on the ANCC team.
