In some ways it’s a good thing but it’s not uncommon for a port to put up vessels that are going to call, who the agents are, what the quantities are etc. and then people use that information to fabricate documents and send them off to ask for financing. With containers, there is a lot of information publicly available that can also be misused by unscrupulous parties to gain an advantage.
