Education, experience and achievements

1. Degree, or equivalent qualification or experience in engineering, construction or project management discipline. 2. Membership of related professional body such as APM, CIOB, RICS 3. Experience in senior leadership/ management position responsible for strategic and operational project delivery

4. Previous experience of working in higher education 5. Estates and campus planning experience 6. Qualification in Programme or Project management

7. Demonstrable communication skills in English language 8. Ability to think and operate at both an operational and strategic level 9. Ability to work collaboratively with internal staff and external persons at all levels 10. Technical knowledge of project management 11. Excellent people management skills including performance management / coaching 12. Strong commercial skills 13. Track record of delivering innovation and best practice 14. Understanding of customer focused project delivery 15. Ability to analyse and interpret data 16. Experience of programme planning and management in a complex environment 17. Able to operate with comfort at strategic overview and operational management levels 18. Compelling and persuasive when communicating. 19. Talks the language of the Project delivery team 20. Able to formulate questions that allow development of multiple solutions to complex problems 21. Has an excellent understanding of the areas critical to project success 22. Demands evidence to demonstrate progress and success. 23. Excellent understanding of the commercial and financial aspects of complex projects

24. Executive level coaching and mentoring experience 25. Understanding and use of project and programme management systems
