Welcome Fellow Stockmen to the Miller Angus 44th Annual Bull Sale!

First and foremost I hope this letter finds everyone well in what is an amazing time to be in the cattle business! Looking back a year ago I wasn’t certain that it could get any better than it was…but I was mistaken. It has just steadily kept climbing and climbing, shattering records in barns across the nation with what seemed like a weekly occurrence. Most of which, those sale barns were close to home here in the Midwest! It’s flat out wonderful to see our friends, neighbors, and colleagues reward - ed for all their hard work and dedication to this magnificent industry and way of life. Here at Miller Angus we would not trade it for anything! The same could almost be said about the weather. We thought last year’s winter was mild and enjoyable and now this year as I write this it has been mostly flat out warm! Other than a few, short lived cold snaps, the bulls have taken full advantage of the climate. They weaned off heavier than they ever have on average with just their mother’s milk and Jones County green grass. We were blessed with some Labor Day rains which brought the regrowth in the pastures and the bulls just took off on it after a very dry second half of the summer. Real world weights…NO SUMMER CREEP FEED. Since their mid-October weaning they have been on the Blueprint Bull Power pellet by Hubbard Feeds. They are hand fed this twice a day along with free range to our very best prairie hay. Thats it. No silage. No feed wagons. We have always believed that these bull calves need to be managed correctly to benefit the longevity of the animal for the consumer. We are not going to put extra, useless flesh on them to hide imperfections and to make them look more uniform than they actually are. All that does is force them to “melt off” in year one on your dime and stunt their growth for the lifetime of the bull. Leaving you thinking…this is not what I purchased on sale day?! We want an accurate representation for your evaluation. We want the bulls we are sending out to you to be ready on day one, to keep growing and thriving, and to be in that “JUST RIGHT CONDITION” . Thats our slogan and promise to you that is unwavering! Let’s get to the bulls! This year to lead off the sale we are spotlighting an amazing set of SEVEN full flush brothers to the Spickler North and Genex sire S Architect 9501! These full siblings have been so fun to watch grow this past year. They are so

Curt & Janet

Casey, Monica, Gavin, Marlee, & Macyn

alike in their type and kind. One of the most uniform groups I have seen. We were saddened to hear of Architects passing this fall but we feel these full brothers to him are a defining tribute to what a great sire he was with his consistency. Next our largest sire group we will be offering is sons and grandsons of Kraye Big Country . This is a sire that fits our real world mentality to a “T”. He just flat out gets it done with both powerful sons and beautiful females. A commercial cattleman’s dream. We have also went back to the well and used LAR Man In Black for a third consecutive season. This has been a very consistent sire for us also and this year’s offering is no different. Very high performing, stout bulls! One more sire we would like to mention is our owned herd sire Musgrave Pacific 342 . This bull has been eased in early around here but with the looks of some of his sale feature sons in this of - fering and the top end daughters he has put in the replacement pen…he’s looking to see a much bigger uptick in the years to come. We again will also be selling a very select set of 25+ fancy replacement heifers. These are all homeraised from the heart of our herd and hand picked for quality. It’s not a large group but we have always believed in quality over quantity and we are certain these heifers will go on to make excellent cows wherever they go. As always we welcome you to the ranch anytime prior to the sale. We would love to show you the cows behind this powerful set of bulls. If you are unable to view the offering in person, we will once again have DVAuction on hand with videos and online bidding sale day. If you have any questions do not hesitate to call…we are always charged up to talk Angus cattle! Anyway we can be of service to you is what we are all about. Once again thank you for your continued support of our program. We can’t express enough how much you all mean to us! One of the most impactful sires in the breed the last half decade from Spickler Ranch North. Mr. Consistency. Used across the nation on a large scale in major heifer breeding projects. Very impressive from the moment I seen him sell in 2020. Out of the sky high indexing Blossom 7514. Selling 7 full brothers and 4 direct sons!

Our selection from the 2024 High Point Genetics offering. This great young sire was turned out by himself on our heifers year one and the progeny did not disappoint. One of the most uniform calf crops we have had here at Miller Angus. Loads of body depth and hind quarter. On a recent visit Chad Ellingson compared him to the great Sitz Alliance. This excellent breeder we think a ton of and will see a great deal of work here moving forward. Selling 12 direct sons!

The sire that has been called a man amongst boys at ABS. Straight up performance! We have used Man In Black for three years in a row. We love the bull progeny he has produced. We also have some wet daughters and they did a fabulous job in their first year of calving. Two of them have features in this offering! We think a lot of this sire and we are going to continue to use a couple sons of his moving forward. Selling 5 direct sons!

Our selection from the Musgrave Angus 2023 offering. This Sterling Pacific son was eased in early on but in his second season he was given the opportunity to service some of our very best three year old cows…..these matings did not disappoint. From sale features in this offering to producing some of the very best females in the replacement pen. He has been an excellent breeder the past couple of years and has definitely climbed the ladder and got our attention. Selling 5 direct sons!

Flush Offering

SydGen Blueprint – Sire to Lots 50-56 and Sire to S Architect 9501

S Blossom 7514 – Dam to Lots 50-56 and Dam to S Architect 9501

Where do we even begin on this outstanding flush of full brothers to the Spickler Ranch North and Genex powerhouse sire, S Architect 9501. When we were given this opportunity to make full siblings to one of the hottest sires in the industry for 5+ years running, we were obviously extremely excited and thought this could turn out to possibly be something really special….but the outcome has far exceeded what we thought was possible. No, we did not receive any full sisters which was a bit disappointing but what we did receive was SEVEN ridiculously good brothers that are so very alike in type in kind. We have put a lot of miles on looking at cattle and offerings of flushmates and we have not quite seen a flush like this one. The consistency through each lot of fifty though fifty six offers unparalleled uniformity. It was so much fun to watch these guys grow and compete with each other this past year. Every pasture ride there was always a different brother that grabbed your attention and almost screamed out “Hey, am I the best one?” Every one of these brothers can be used on heifers and every one of them has a full tank of gas to be used on mature cows after. They averaged 863lbs at weaning and 1,374lbs at a year. Truly impressive and even more so if you take into consideration on how they are fed and managed here. They average over a 40 actual on scrotal, they are all very highly ranked in longevity and docility, and they all boast the breeds best dollar maternal. Herd bulls through and through on the hoof and on paper…the total package. We were saddened to hear of Architects passing at the beginning of 2026, but we feel this flush is quite the tribute to their brother. So as they say, grab ahold of the rope….this is not your average opening feature to a sale offering.

We start the Big Country offering with a heifer bull prospect out of one of our favor - ite 7yr olds, MA Erica 920. “920” has multiple sale toppers under her belt including back to backs in 2023 and 2024. She followed that up with one of the very best replacement heifers in the pen last season. 57 is a very well rounded individual in the pen that should have probably been pictured. At +13 CED and negative birth, he is a slam dunk heifer bull with eye appeal. High scores in scrotal, heifer pregnancy, milk, longevity, and dollar maternal. Definitely recommended.

Lot 59 is very similiar in his type and kind to 57. His 8yr year old Resource descen - dant dam is also one of the favorites in the herd. She has an exquisite udder with perfect teat size and placement. You honestly can’t make them any better. This BC son also has +13 CED and a negative birth. He’s in the top 1% in milk with a big 41 scrotal. He is very quiet much like his dam. Take both 57/59 home and enjoy the uniform calf crop. We like this bull a ton and highly recommend him.

Another standout Big Country son out of yet again another one of our favorite cows on the place. This 9yr old Generation daughter always seems bring an excellent calf in. The Generation females really worked well here. She is one of the few females on the place that does not have a freeze brand but we don’t have any problem identifying this front pasture female. Her KBC son here offers a little more size and length than the previous two lots. I think he would work on some larger frame heifers. He’s right in line number wise as far as what we look for to use in the heifer pasture anyway. High marks in milk and functional longevity. Bid with confidence on this one.

This last direct son of Kraye Big Country offers a little more power for breeding mature cows. His KR Rally dam is a powerful 5yr old female that also goes back to Generation. If you want performance look no further. A +100 WW and +165 YW EPD to go along with a massive ribeye score. Cap it off with a 300 $C. Watch the pounds pile up on this guys calves. Power steers are a sure thing.

Calf picture of Lot 512

We kick off the High Point Big Country 2299’s with a couple fantastic bulls here at lot 512 and 513! Two of the very best bulls we have raised to date. 512 is out of a fancy Man In Black first calf heifer that is one of the most promising young females on the ranch. This cow family has been really good. The Final Answer grandam has been a great producer that has raised sale toppers and features. Most notably the very best U2 Coalition son we have ever raised that sold to Steve Thomas back in 2022. This bull has cow maker written all over him. He was a favorite all summer long. One of those you always find on pasture checks. And as good as these two lots are on the hoof, they equally match that on the paper. Top 3% in weaning, top 10% on yearling, to go along with excellent carcass traits. A big pair between the legs and great dollar values with a 350+ $C! These are a couple of bulls you absolutely can’t go wrong with. Sale features through and through!

As impressive as the first lot is, 513 is just as qualified in that department if not more. Soggy phenotype here and power for days on end. A little more compact than 512 and just an absolute brute of bull. This Big Country grandson is out of an Iconic first calf heifer that is carrying twins on her. His grandam is also a Final Answer and has given us no complaints the past 7yrs. This bull really came on strong in the summer and is about as flawless as one can be made in our opinion. This is the kind of bull that we dream of making. With the kind of phenotype this bull possesses and then the EPD profile to go along with it…I just do not know how one can make him any better. He finished off the year and crushed the scale with an astonishing adjusted weight of just under 1,500lbs! He gained 4.15 pounds per day. He has the highest weaning and yearling EPD in the sale at +103 and +175. Both top 1% in the breed! He’s excellent in functional longevity, udder, docility, claw at all in the top 15% or higher. He has tremendous carcass merit with marbling and ribeye both over a +1.00 and he puts it all together with top dollar values with top 1% in $F, top 5% in $B, top 3% in $W…..culminating into a monster +370 $C!! You just do not find bulls like these very often. Sale Features!

We actually thought this High Point Big Country son was an eighth full sib to Ar - chitect for awhile.. but it turned out his dam must have been the first gal 2299 had his eyes on when he stepped off the trailer. And we don’t blame him. 514’s six year old Powerpoint dam has loads of phenotype and an impeccable udder. He would fit right in with those sibs though too. He’s quite the specimen and a very powerfully crafted individual. He gained almost 4lbs per day. I think this guy will get out and cover a lot of ground and females. You don’t see bulls like this guy that you can use on heifers very often. Really good length with a tic more frame if that’s what you’re looking for. Another highly recommended lot right here.

This 2299 son is chucked full of red meat. Deep ribbed and powerful performance through out. He weaned off heavy and boasts a top 4% WW at a +93. I think this bull will be a heck of a breeder. He has that masculine and proud presence. He’s an all gas individual that goes back to our Law line on the bottom. Another rascal that is going to get done for you in the pounds department.

Lot 516 is a very complete heifer bull prospect out of a Man In Black first calf heifer that goes back to a powerhouse Thrive 7yr old that was acquired from Spickler Ranch North. She is one of the very favorite gals on the place and is almost right at the top of the list as far as turning her into a donor. There isn’t too much to flaw on this high quality heifer bull as he checks almost every box. Buy this calving ease bull with confidence as he comes highly recommended.

Thick made with an excellent hip. Top EPD scores on milk and udder along with an excellent marbling score. Round it out with a top 10% dollar maternal and a nearly 340 $C! Another 2299 out of a MIB first calf heifer. That combo really worked well! Goes back to one of the most visually appealing 8yr old Real Performance daughters on the place who is also one of the very best mothers. Elba 862 has had her share of success with a recent heifer bull highlight sale topper in 2023. This Big Country has a ton of performance and shape especially for an almost April calf!! His ADG was over 4lbs a day! Top 5% in WW and top 10%. He carries more birth EPD than his contemporaries before him but with a ton of punch as he is sure to sire some excellent feeders. Much like lot 515, I think this bull will be an excellent breeder much like their sire. Definitely a recommended individual.

Here is another pretty darn complete heifer bull with the same type of pedigree. Very uniform three quarter brothers that have been a 10+ CED and zero birth. Strong maternal with a 300+ $C.

More calving ease 2299 x Man In Black. These types should work really well on a set of heifers and would be fun to trailer up together. A touch more moderation here but great length.

This HPBC is out of a Rally 9064 first calver that goes back to Final Answer. Gran - dam is still here and has always brought in a solid calf. Our Rally females have great length of body and performance. Similiar look as the lot prior with maybe a little more gas and rib shape. High marks in HP and teat and udder with a combined dollar of over 300. He might be toeing the line for some for use on heifers but would work excellent on some young cows thereafter.

This soggy, moderate made meat wagon is one of the youngest bulls in the sale. His Logo sired grandam has been an excellent producer thus far in her 5yr career. If you’re looking to bring down the frame just a bit and thicken them up then this is your lot. Very maternally bred here and is in the top 3% in the category with almost a 300 combined dollar value. I think this could be a sleeper bull with a ton of potential as he ages. Keep the females for sure here.

Our last 2299 son out of an Architect first calf heifer. Another very maternally bred pedigree here. This bull should be the sleep all night kind and I’d bet is even more calving ease than he reads. Grandam is a moderate 6yr old Entice daughter that was best in her sire class and is beautifully uddered and great footed. 523 and 524 are very similar bulls that somebody should stuff in their stock trailer together to make that coveted uniform calf crop. Keep the females here as well!

Lot 525: From the embryo program, here is a Sitz Galactic son out of our KR Miss Sara 7013 donor! 7013 is the dam to our 2025 lead off bull, MA Institution 48. He was a bull we thought a ton of and used him back in our program and are getting calves on the ground as we speak. Miss Sara is a 9yr old Apollo daughter from the famed KR Miss Sara 4461 at Krebs. She has an impeccable udder and is broody and deep. One of those types you wish you had 100 of. This Galactic son started out a little slower than his half brother from a year ago but he really came on late. He has a little more stretch and ton of style. I would have thought he would have read more calving ease from the pedigree but he’d be an excellent choice on a young set of cows. Teat and udder are naturally in the top 2 and 10% and with Galactic on the top side of the pedigree you know you’re going to get great feet. Claw is in the top 3%. Keep all the females here. Highly highly recommended.

Lot 526: Another excellent bull from the embryo program! This Prolific son came to us from Flesch Angus in Montana out of their famed Shoshone D136 donor that goes back to Connealy Thunder. Jeff sold two flush brothers in his January offering that were well received. This tank of a bull has been a visitor favorite by many. Just so much mass and power. This herd sire prospect gained a whopping 4.7lbs on his ADG and crushed the scale at 1,460lbs at a year! Ever since he hit the ground he has just never stopped impressing us. Top 10% in weaning and yearling EPD with a big scrotal to boot. We also have a couple of full sisters that are broody, beautiful females at the top of the replacement pen. We start the Man In Black offering with a big power bull out of a KR Rally 5yr old daughter. Ton of performance here. +104 weaning epd! Top 1% in the breed. Yearling is top 3% in the breed. If you’re looking to add a little stretch and size to your calves then look no further. Docility also has high marks.

The next two MIB sons are two of the very best heifer bulls in the entire offering. They are very similiar in their design and are both out of two of the very best Rally heifers on the place. Excellent cow family on this lot going back to a front pasture type Generation grandam. Not a lot of heifer bulls out there that are built like these two. Soggy made and deep. 528 has a top 1% heifer pregnancy score, excellent on the teat and udder to keep females, solid carcass, and a top 4% in dollar maternal leading to. A nearly 300 $C. Again these two are like peas in a pod. They mirror each other in so many ways. 529 goes back to a 11yr old Cash daughter that was a heck of a producer. A little less birth here at 65lb actual but the same +11 CED and zero on the birth EPD. Along with the positive teat and udder scores, this lot also scored high on the ribeye. Slightly higher dollar values here with an almost 320 $C. We’ve been going back in forth between them all year. You guys be the judge….or better yet take them both and reap the rewards. Sale Feature.

This next lot out of Man In Black is the power bull of the group and dang good one at that. Should have been pictured! Out of another Rally 9064 daughter. These matings worked! Top performance EPDs, HP, carcass merit, and dollar values with a darn near 340 $C! There is a ton to like about this bull. One of the true performers in the pen and on paper that we most certainly recommend.

Top 1% $M and $W to a 330 combined! This lot definitely has some sleeper potential…. don’t let him pass you by! Another recommended lot that you’ll want to keep fe - males out of!

The first direct son of Architect in the offering and out of a tremendous Power - point 6yr old. She raised one of the best Man in Blacks in last years offering. This bull could possibly work on some bigger heifers but might be best suited for some young cows. A very well rounded 9501 son that is super maternal. We start the Musgrave Pacific 342 offering with an outstanding lot here in 536. He’s been one of the favorites all year long. His dam was our selection and the high selling female in the 2023 Moke production sale. She’s a perfectly made Connealy Big Valley daughter with a tremendous udder. Just complete in his makeup. Depth of body in a somewhat moderate package with big top and great hip. Top 4% in weaning and top 10% in yearling epd. Unsurprisingly, top 1% in teat and top 4% in the breed in udder. Top 15% in longevity with a big ribeye and almost 320 $C. This bull does it all and will make power steers and great females. Buy with confidence. Sale Feature.

Another dynamite son of 342 out of an exquisite Tehama Tahoe daughter that goes back to Resource on the bottom side. This female was our selection out of the 2023 Spickler Ranch South offering and she knocked it out of the park here with her second calf. She goes back to Nathan and Emily’s 1004 Elba donor who was a tremendous producer for them. Tons of beautiful females from her over the years. We are very high on her and have Big Country progeny on the ground out of her as we speak. They already look like they’ll be sale features next year! This bull gets it done at almost every angle and has a really stylish look to him. +11 CED and zero birth to a top 10% in weaning and a top 20% in yearling. Big scrotaled with great longevity in the blood. Trust that dollar maternal that’s in the top 10%. Top it off with a 305 dollar combined. Really fancy females will come out of this guy. Works all done here guys. Sale Feature.

One of the very best power bulls in this offering! 538 is out of our favorite 4yr old. She’s a beautiful Rally 9064 daughter out of the same Thrive grandam as lot 516. Stretchy and just really cowy in her design with an excellent udder. Here is your leader in the offering in weaning and yearling at +100 and +173! Both in the top 1%! He recorded an average daily gain of almost 4.4lbs! Top 10% scores in teat, udder, and ribeye. And another +300 $C. This 342 will do it all. His sons will break the scales and his daughters will make excellent momma cows. This is one of those lots that you’ll want to take a long look at. Highly recommended. Sale Feature.

A Sterling Pacific grand son out of a daughter of our Miss Sara 7013 Apollo donor. Same cow family as the 525 Galactic lot and the lead off bull in last years sale. A really thick made bull which makes sense with this mating. Well rounded on paper and should make solid females with that cow family in the background.

One more terrific son from this up and coming herd sire. Out of another Rally daughter that goes back to a Value Added female that we picked up from Dave Hinman at Hinman Angus in Montana. This is a bull that definitely could have been pictured. High scrotal points and terrific on the hoof. This bull also has a high marbling score at over a plus one. Someone is sure to find this bull as he is very complete. Underrated sleeper pick.

A direct son from Sterling Pacific 904. Out of a first calf heifer from our embryo program from our Florabelle Fanny donor. This is a damn good heifer bull that does a ton of things right. Monster scrotal epd score with almost 40 actuals, top 15% in marbling, and a 320 $C. A highly recommended bull to service heifers for sure!
