Miller Angus - 44th Annual Angus Bull Sale [4/6/26]

Welcome Fellow Stockmen to the Miller Angus 44th Annual Bull Sale!

First and foremost I hope this letter finds everyone well in what is an amazing time to be in the cattle business! Looking back a year ago I wasn’t certain that it could get any better than it was…but I was mistaken. It has just steadily kept climbing and climbing, shattering records in barns across the nation with what seemed like a weekly occurrence. Most of which, those sale barns were close to home here in the Midwest! It’s flat out wonderful to see our friends, neighbors, and colleagues reward - ed for all their hard work and dedication to this magnificent industry and way of life. Here at Miller Angus we would not trade it for anything! The same could almost be said about the weather. We thought last year’s winter was mild and enjoyable and now this year as I write this it has been mostly flat out warm! Other than a few, short lived cold snaps, the bulls have taken full advantage of the climate. They weaned off heavier than they ever have on average with just their mother’s milk and Jones County green grass. We were blessed with some Labor Day rains which brought the regrowth in the pastures and the bulls just took off on it after a very dry second half of the summer. Real world weights…NO SUMMER CREEP FEED. Since their mid-October weaning they have been on the Blueprint Bull Power pellet by Hubbard Feeds. They are hand fed this twice a day along with free range to our very best prairie hay. Thats it. No silage. No feed wagons. We have always believed that these bull calves need to be managed correctly to benefit the longevity of the animal for the consumer. We are not going to put extra, useless flesh on them to hide imperfections and to make them look more uniform than they actually are. All that does is force them to “melt off” in year one on your dime and stunt their growth for the lifetime of the bull. Leaving you thinking…this is not what I purchased on sale day?! We want an accurate representation for your evaluation. We want the bulls we are sending out to you to be ready on day one, to keep growing and thriving, and to be in that “JUST RIGHT CONDITION” . Thats our slogan and promise to you that is unwavering! Let’s get to the bulls! This year to lead off the sale we are spotlighting an amazing set of SEVEN full flush brothers to the Spickler North and Genex sire S Architect 9501! These full siblings have been so fun to watch grow this past year. They are so

Curt & Janet

Casey, Monica, Gavin, Marlee, & Macyn

alike in their type and kind. One of the most uniform groups I have seen. We were saddened to hear of Architects passing this fall but we feel these full brothers to him are a defining tribute to what a great sire he was with his consistency. Next our largest sire group we will be offering is sons and grandsons of Kraye Big Country . This is a sire that fits our real world mentality to a “T”. He just flat out gets it done with both powerful sons and beautiful females. A commercial cattleman’s dream. We have also went back to the well and used LAR Man In Black for a third consecutive season. This has been a very consistent sire for us also and this year’s offering is no different. Very high performing, stout bulls! One more sire we would like to mention is our owned herd sire Musgrave Pacific 342 . This bull has been eased in early around here but with the looks of some of his sale feature sons in this of - fering and the top end daughters he has put in the replacement pen…he’s looking to see a much bigger uptick in the years to come. We again will also be selling a very select set of 25+ fancy replacement heifers. These are all homeraised from the heart of our herd and hand picked for quality. It’s not a large group but we have always believed in quality over quantity and we are certain these heifers will go on to make excellent cows wherever they go. As always we welcome you to the ranch anytime prior to the sale. We would love to show you the cows behind this powerful set of bulls. If you are unable to view the offering in person, we will once again have DVAuction on hand with videos and online bidding sale day. If you have any questions do not hesitate to call…we are always charged up to talk Angus cattle! Anyway we can be of service to you is what we are all about. Once again thank you for your continued support of our program. We can’t express enough how much you all mean to us!
