LET’S EMBRACE SUMMER, SAN DIEGO! HERE ARE SOME GREAT EVENTS HAPPENING THIS MONTH

The dog days of summer are here! The weather is hot and the sun is shining, so it’s time to get outside and enjoy the summer air with family and friends around town this month. Let’s take a look at this month’s roundup! The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park is the new home of the San Diego Symphony, and the best part is that it’s an outdoor amphitheater! It just opened in 2021, and if you haven’t yet been, it’s a must-do! This month, Sheryl Crow, Philharmonia Fantastique, The Beach Boys, John Williams, Disco Inferno, George Benson, and more will be performing! Grab your tickets and head out for a night of great music under the stars. Carlsbad Music Festival From Aug. 5–7, the Carlsbad Music Festival will be taking place at St. Michaels By The Beach and will feature a variety of adventurous music, including new classical, indie rock, Latin, folk, jazz, and experimental genres. There will also be many food and beverage options, so you can enjoy dinner and a show! Kayak at Seven Caves Seven Caves near La Jolla Cove is a kayaking wonder. They offer kayaking tours that take you up close and personal with some amazing marine wildlife,

and you can even explore some pretty cool sea caves! It’s a perfect way to spend a summer afternoon.

Beach Bonfires Did you know that many of San Diego’s beaches are equipped with bonfire pits readily available to the public during summer months? Pacific Beach, Shelter Island, and Mission Bay Park are a few of the many beaches that offer firepits. What better way is there to enjoy a beautiful San Diego night than on a beach by a fire under the stars?
