Financial Aid Brochure 2018-19

Federal Work Study (FWS) This is an opportunity for students to earn extra funding for school. Students are accepted based upon financial need, acceptable academic history, and the ability to excel in the selected employment area. Some positions involve community service, while other positions are available on campus. Federal Regulations require that these funds be applied to the student’s cost of attendance, and positions are limited by federal funding. Students average up to $1,000 of earnings per year. This is dependent on the number of hours worked and hourly pay. Students will find the application on their Solution Web Portal under “Forms”. Summer Work Program (FWS opportunity for the New York campus) Selected students arrive in mid-August and earn minimum wage during the 5 weeks prior to school registration. Room and board costs are covered during the SWP. Summer Work Program (FWS opportunity for the Florida campus) Selected students arrive in mid-August and earn minimum wage during the 4 weeks prior to school registration. Room and board costs are covered during the SWP. For more information/opportunities, please contact Miss Sarah Bubar at 727.379.5041 or sbubar@wol.org .
