TRIBAL CANNABIS ORDINANCE
• A Tribal Cannabis Ordinance is required of the Tribal Government to properly legalize cannabis on Tribal Lands. • When legalizing cannabis on Tribal Lands, try to mirror the State that you are in as closely as possible while protecting the Tribes Sovereign Immunity. • Set up the Ordinance with future changes in mind so that it doesn’t need to go back to the table for amendments, this does not necessarily mean you will do everything in the Ordinance today. It means, when and if you decide to expand, the language is already approved by the Tribal Government or the General Membership.

CANNABIS COMMISSION • Cannabis Commission is a separate Arm of the Tribe enacted by the Tribal Council. • Cannabis Commission answers to Tribal Council and has full oversight of all Cannabis Activities within the Tribal Boundaries. • Enforces the Tribal Cannabis Ordinance and Regulations. • Issues Licenses, does background checks and sets up fingerprinting on all employees and Cannabis Business Applicants. • Makes sure that all product being sold off the Reservation are safe and compliant to ensure the health and safety of the Consumer. • Protects the Tribe and their Assets
