MICHELANGELO – A DIFFERENT VIEW CLICK TO SEE MORE On public days, up to 25,000 people from all corners of the world stream through the Vatican’s Sistine Chapel to see some of the world’s most famous artworks. Now, in this exhibition, Michelangelo’s masterpieces are presented from a very different perspective: reproductions of the paintings, almost in original size, allow visitors an up-close and personal look at the frescoes. The images have been printed on panels with realistic fidelity, however the exhibition doesn’t attempt to reproduce the Sistine Chapel, but offers a unique opportunity to see the detail in the works. Under license from the Vatican Museums, Aotea Centre, Auckland, 3rd–30th.
