How Our HOA Helps

The Outdoor Resorts HOA and management works to maintain common areas, ensure clear access for emergency vehicles, and share important safety information with residents. During emergencies, community communication may be limited, so residents are encouraged to check on neighbors—especially seniors or those who may need assistance—when it is safe to do so. Preparedness isn ’ t about fear—it ’ s about readiness. By taking small steps now, we strengthen our community ’ s ability to respond, recover, and support one another when it matters most. Disaster Preparedness:

A Community Responsibility

Emergencies and natural disasters can happen with little or no warning—whether it ’ s a power outage, wildfire, earthquake, flood, severe storm, or extended heat wave. Being prepared ahead of time helps protect our families, our homes, and our entire community. The Outdoor Resorts Safety and Security Committee purpose is to work with the HOA, management and our community to insure our readiness. In January, new members joined the team and committee leadership was selected. Please welcome the new members and leadership.

The entire ORPS community gives our heartfelt thanks to outgoing members of the committee, John Penero, Steve Stockman and John Reininger for their 16 years of service to this committee.

Why Preparedness Matters

During a disaster, emergency services may be delayed or overwhelmed. Having a plan and basic supplies allows households to be self-sufficient for the first 72 hours, which is often the most critical period after an event.

Upcoming Events: The community wide Emergency Preparedness Drill and Training will be held February 6 th .

What Every Household Can Do: In upcoming ORACLE articles, the committee will share with you important information on the following subjects:

1. Build an Emergency Kit

2. Make a Family Emergency Plan

3. Stay Informed, involved and engaged

4. Simple steps that make a big difference and how you can help
